ON
Arguably the biggest self promoter in the NFL today
VS
One of the most humble players in the NFL
A unique matchup for both sides coming in a short prep week. Both teams played awful week one. Both teams rebounded and won in week two. Carolina knocked off perenial NFC-S powerhouse, New Orleans to bring their record to 1-1. Our Giants beat the team that upset Carolina week 1, Tampa Bay, on the arm of Eli Manning.
Although our last game was frustrating, we walked away with a few positives aside from the obvious - A $#!*&(^ WIN.
-As if you didn't already know, Eli Manning has some inate ability to play at his best when it matters most. No matter how badly he plays one game/half/series, he has the ability to play at his best the next time he touches the ball. We are never out of a game with #10 under center.
-Andre Brown's unsexy style of running gave some life to what was a putrid rushing attack. I don't think anyone is sold on him long term, but he could be useful for a few weeks. It looked like our OL was improved when he took over as lead RB.
-I hate to make a positive out of someone's injury, but our line looked better when Diehl went down. Brown's decisiveness certainly helped the rushing attack. But how about the passing game? 51 attempts, 0 sacks. Yeah, ridiculous, I know.
-Our tertiary is still in shambles. They looked a little better in coverage against VJAX and Williams, but it still wasn't great. Hopefully Webster/Hosely/Amukamara will tighten things up and bring us back down to a secondary. Until then, no one from this forum is allowed to call them anything but tertiary.
-Martellus Bennett will have his ups and downs, but so far he has been serviceable. His blocking is solid and he has made some good plays in the passing game. Just needs to cut down some of those drops.
The Panthers are a solid team that will present many problems for our defense. We have to force Newton to beat us with his arm. If he has a big day rushing the ball, our defense will tire out and look like it has over the past two weeks. I don't know about you guys, but I can't stomach too much more of that.
Close game that is decided in the 4th quarter... So you know the Giants will win.

Injury report isnt too bad. Excited to have Corey Webster, Prince Amukamara and Jayron Hosley out there for the first time all season.
Also excited for Rueben Randle as he is supposed to get a shot at the #3 receiver spot this game and Andre Brown as the starting RB. Potentially Marvin Austins first game also if he gets in.
Young guys stepping up. _________________

Last season our offense was inept until the 2nd half against the Rams
This season our offense was inept until the 2nd half against the Bucs

Barden I guess
This is a good acid test to see what kind of team this is. Short week, theyre banged up and on the road, but a good team will find a way to get it done _________________
