Brandon, it wasn't just the salary cap ramifications. The management made it a point to immeately go after wrs in this years free agency period instead of getting just one wr like Garçon, then signing a better safety or RT. Again, we also passed on a few players in the draft in positions we needed like Safety, CB and RT. _________________

I understand where you are coming from, but at the same time you know how Bruce Allen and Shanny are with their big boards and finding the best 53. They evaluate talent and have a board of who to go after instead of need of position. It was clear this off-season in Free Agency who was a top the board, as well as their draft board.
I believe if Hank was healthy Josh Morgan may not even be here now. He was more of a great insurance policy, sort to speak. If we can keep Garcon, Morgan, Hank, Briscoe, and Robinson together for a few years we are pretty set at that position. This is probably Santana's last year with the team, Aldrick will probably take over his spot next year.
But going into next season RT specifically needs to be a point of emphasis along with the rest of the O-line as well as the secondary. |
