It's not a comparable sitaution, but it's worth mentioning. |
He also did well vs. a schematically struggling AZ D last season with 14/81yds (5.8 avg) and 3/12yds (4.0 avg), 1 rush TD. Could see the same or the gap control may be more sound this time around. Vick's running ability causes some match-up nightmares for opposing D's and opens up some lanes for Shady. |

Both Jason Peters and Jason Kelce were outstanding run blockers and neither Bell or Reynolds will be an adequate replacement in space. So our run game of last year will not be our run game of this year. Shady will still break out a few but isn't going to see some of the gaping holes he had. _________________

Part of our problem. Batiste (LT for Brown) is not very good in run blocking. Only standouts on the line are Colledge (LG) and Sendelein (C). Snyder is mediocre at best (RG) and our rookie Massie (RT) has been growing into the position well. |

I'm going to agree with you on this.
However, the one play that could mask this issue into having some huge run lanes is an effective execution on that Howard Mudd special "delayed stretch" we run. That play can negate a strong front 4/aggressive front 7 if executed properly and called at the right time. _________________

Has to think about Philly a lot. It was that time there that got him to where he is.. good to keep perspective. |

I don't think a single poster on here, or any of our players & coaches for that matter, are overlooking the Cards. Especially so after you guys beat us in Philly last season. |
I dunno, it seems some people are chalking this one up already. We all know when we go around assuming we're going to win.... _________________

We won our last two games by one point way and almost lost to Cleveland...
How could anyone suggest we're overlooking any team? _________________

How dare you...
Dallas Reynolds should already have Pro Bowl tattoed in his face. _________________

IF (That's a fairly large IF) we can limit our Turnovers, I think we should beat Cards. I think our Defense are very even, but our Offense is better. _________________

No, this isn't the Ravens forum from last week. _________________

Should be more concern over special teams. They're going to force us to punt a lot and I don't think we're very good at it. Cribbs looked like he was going to break a few of his returns and Peterson is just as good.
Meanwhile, we still suck at kickoff and punt returns. Not Dion Lewis bad but nothing notable through the first two games. |

Any news on Michael Floyd? Was he inactive last week? I so wanted him to be the pick last April.
AZ definitely will try to run the ball to keep our O off the field. 10 catches a piece for the MN bred WRs (if Floyd plays), 0 TDs, Philly win 34-13. _________________
