| Obviously Shoelace, has NFL caliber athleticism, but he is by no means an NFL Quarterback. What position does he play, slot receiver, Darren Sproles type scat back, prime Chris Johnson type running back, or pure wildcat QB? Given his talent with the ball in his hands, I say the team that drafts him should look to play him as a full time running back a la Chris Johnson and return man perhaps with a wildcat package as well, rather than the traditional conversion to wide receiver. Thoughts? |

Dexter McCluster kind of role. Slot receiver/scat back/return man. Also a wildcat QB. The guy has plenty of talent, it's a shame he doesn't have the body to be a RB. He's too electric to not find a place in the NFL, even if he just catches a few passes and returns kicks. _________________

He'll probably measure in at 5'11 (maybe 5'10) and 185-195 pounds. Obviously not a bruiser, but certainly big enough to be a RB in the NFL.
As for his role? Touchdown Maker, Playmaker, and all around Mr. Awesome.

This. If the Jets didn't have Tebow to run the wildcat, I would want them to go after Denard in the 4th round. I think he can do a great job at running the wildcat, while also being a very good WR, KR, and PR. I think he can find a lot of success in the NFL. Some team is definitely going to fall in love with him and all of the talent he brings. _________________

what are the odds of him running 4.3? i can never tell if he really has the legit 4.3 speed. he sure looks fast, but so was mario manningham. leon hall looked slow to me, but he surprised me with 4.38. and a track guy like morgan trent ran so-so 40.
i'm hoping denard runs 4.33 or below so people don't bring up his idiotic usain bolt comment during combine. just don't disappoint me denard! speed is all you got! |

He could become an electric slot reciever if given the opportunity in my opinion.

All of the above, probably. Mostly RB and slot WR, maybe some direct snaps.
He's definitely not an NFL QB, but if I had him on my team, I'd probably go without a 3rd QB (unless for developmental purposes).

I wouldn't be shocked if he ran a 4.39 or faster, but I think somewhere in the 4.40-4.45 range is most likely. He's fast in a straight line, but not ridiculously fast. His 3-cone and shuttle times will be more impressive. |

| He's to injury prone to make it as a RB, great speed but his body can't take the pounding |

Got any facts to back up the bold or are you just throwing around cliches and hyperbole?
He has a number of games of 30, 40, 50 + touches (pass attempts + carries.
He has had a number of games of 15, 20+ carries as well.
All that and he has never missed a game with an injury, all while playing in the Big Ten. _________________
