Fitzgerald raves about Roberts’ work ethic. Whisenhunt noted Roberts’ ability to block in the run game, something he has an appreciation for after coaching receiver Hines Ward in Pittsburgh.
“(Hines) sets the standard and I see a lot of that in Andre,” Whisenhunt said. “That’s pretty high praise for a young guy like Andre, but I think it’s pretty accurate.”

That's REALLY high praise. He might work like Hines Ward but the play isn't there IMHO.

I disagree as I don't think that the type of WR Roberts is. _________________

I actually see the similarities if you take out the trash talking that kind of clouds Ward's game. |

I re-wathched the game yesterday...Andre Roberts was probably our best skill player that game.
he needs to keep it up, but he is off to a good start anyway. _________________

| Andre roberts is efficient in the run game blocking? I never noticed that before. I must keep my eyes open better. he doesn't have the size to make that happen. I am actually surprised at this. |

He's improved greatly there from what I've seen. He may not be on the level of Fitz or even Floyd but he's good enough. |

Seems pretty generous IMO. Whatever. Comparing him to Ward isn't going to win any games. _________________

I do not watch how the receivers block on runs but I will be keeping an eye on that this Sunday to see for myself. It may not be the most desirable skill set to have, but there is certainly nothing wrong with being good at blocking as a receiver. This team does not seem to do well bouncing runs outside so maybe Roberts can help with that. _________________

DISAGREE
only receiver in the NFL that can be compared to Hines Ward is....
Golden Tate!!!
hes not that fast but he has amazing hands, he runs good after the catch and he wont hesitate to throw a block |

Roberts was clearly motivated by the Floyd draft pick.
Whether it was direct or not we've seen a different player. Now if Floyd could only get motivated... _________________

I don't think Floyd is unmotivated.. Whiz just normally doesn't like to use rookies to early unless necessary(as everyone should know by now) and this is proof of that. I didn't think he would start to put up good number until later in the season. _________________

Personal opinion here, but Doucet and Roberts are playing well.
Just becuase you are a 1st rounder, doesnt mean you get to start, have to earn it.
Did you see that catch and hit Early took in the 3rd i think? Wow! |
