we gave up over 30 points in both game.
We can hold teams to 21 points or less skins have a chance to win double digit games.
who would have figured our offense would be much better then are defense:? |

I definitely am and I'm concerned about Rak and Carriker being out for the year. At the same time though, I didnt expect this team to be a playoff team this year, but I do next year.
I look forward to seeing young guys like Jenkins, Baker and Rob Jackson get more playing time and developing this year for our future. This will only help our depth for the future.
I think our D is about average without Rak and Carriker. Before their injuries I thought we had a chance to be top 10.
That being said, there is no way I expected our offense to be better than our defense. To be honest though, it's a welcome surpise to see our Offense outperform our D. That hasn't been the case since 1999.

We all knew our secondary would be bad, but now that the front seven lost two starters i'm worried.. good thing we have an offense that can score points if we get into shootouts

And 14 points came from the blocked punts. We would probably have both under 30 if those didnt happen

Even before the latest rash of injuries, For a long time ,, I've always thought this defense had no heart and they'd find a way to give up 2 or 3 points more than the offense scored ..
Two 4th down TD's given up against N O and I think one was a 4th and 16.. ( we try 62 yd F G's on those ! )
It'll still be fun watching--RG3 will keep it interesting for sure .. Worth all we gave up ,,AND MORE. |

Yes it will suck. We are looking at 6-10 and people need to calm down about the offense we played probably the two easiest D we can play and we did what we had to do . but now we are playing more talented teams on the coming week ,the Bengals and Bucs do not have scrub defensive players thwy have talent can can adjust against us .
So we know our D will be up and down but time to see more tests for the offense if the O stays consistent ill say 7-9 is about right. A good offense needs a team to create turn overs. |

That's true, take away the blocked punt last game and we are 2-0! And no one is complaining, not even slateman and dashing!!

Imagine next year when we get Carriker, Rak, Jackson, Nield, and Minnefield all back this group alone will vastly improve this defense
