A. Laguage wasn't needed.
B. Happens when nothing seems to change, outside of injuries, those happen to us every year. _________________

If I close my eyes and pretend we don't suck for the fourth year in a row under Gene Smith's general managing, I start seeing things your way, Mojo.. _________________

Agreed.
Anyway, we'll win. Were getting healthier with Eben and Cox set to return. No Freeney for Colts.
Going from Texans D to Colts D.... I mean come on. _________________

What particularly do you think has been "retarded" about the reaction of the performance of this team, JD? Besides whoever said to start Henne, that's pretty dumb. _________________

Come on guys. Clean it up. There's no reason to describe others' views as "retarded" just because they have a differing opinion. Keep it civil. _________________

If you look at there RB's they both was close to 100 rushing and 50 recieving. I think Schaub had 35 completions for less than 200 yards. But when our secondary makes Ponder looked like Aaron Rodgers, what do you think Luck going to do without a decent running game. And plus, I would rather start a random fan at CB than Aaron Ross. |
Johnson was targeted 5 times and came away with 21 yards. It was his worst day since 2008 when he matched up against a prime Nnamdi Asomugha.
Christian Ponder didn't look like Aaron Rodgers either. He wasn't any good until they started using Rudolph and Harvin deep and over the middle. That's not something that would be fixed by moving a safety outside as a corner. _________________

It's just everybody is overreacting after 2 games. The season is a marathon, not a sprint. Trust me, I'm not pleased with the 0-2 start but I still believe in this team. If we can take care of the Colts and come home and beat the Bengals, we're 2-2 after the first quarter of the season. You know we're not healthy. Cox, Britton and Jennings could all be coming back this week (Though I'd hold Jennings out due to the turf). I'll say Daryl and Lane come back for the Bengals game. Am I pleased with the talent we have? Somewhat. If we have another 5-11 season, I think it's time to move on from Gene. If we finish like 8-8 and show we are an ascending team, give him another year.
I understand some peoples frustration but take a deep breath, there's still 14 games to be played. Season is far from over. _________________

If we finish 8-8 after how bad we've looked, Gene's job is safe. Don't disagree with that. _________________

We should win this by a wide margin, but we won't.
If we win, and I'm not expecting a win, it'll be be like 7. _________________

I would rather move two LB's at Corner than to see Ross and Rutland out there. Lowery was first a CB who was turned to safety because we were set at CB at that time. I think that was Cox breakout year. The biggest weakness on our team overall is our CB's. With this being a passing league you have to have guys who can cover. |

I'm not sure how you can think that CB is our biggest issue after how that o-line played. _________________

O line is definitely the biggest concern, but CBs are up there too. With Shean being limited, Cox being hurt, and Ross being... bad.. we're in a tough spot. Middleton is only average. _________________

You know what fellas I take back everything I said earlier. I strongly believe that you get what you speak. I told myself that this year was going to only speak good things on the jags. I Started out telling everybody I know, that we were going to make the playoffs, so I'm keep with it. I guess watching a game like that would get anybody off tracks. Playoffs fellas, it start this sunday against the Colts. |

1 game at a time.
That's the way to go about it.
You'd think we lost 4 games last sunday the way people are talking. _________________ People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Well Gabbert was a full participant at practice today... But I guess that could be a bad thing or a good thing lol.
I don't think anybody was predicting the Jaguars to realistically win Week 2, but seriously this should be the week to win assuming our defense doesn't flop again. I think if our offense has any sort of rhythm it should be this week. Honestly week 1 was 'winnable' in the first place but I think Smith and Cox would have given us a lot better chances... I feel the same way this week, 'winnable', but the addition of, or lack of, Smith and Cox will be imperative. _________________
