V

WHEN: Sunday, September 23 @ 1:00 PM EST
WHERE: Cowboys Stadium

Link: /85438892934354

What Is At Stake

The Cowboys should be looking to bounce back after a lackluster performance in Seattle. After playing the first two weeks on the road, they finally get to play their home opener.

A win would propel the team to 2-1 and stay near the top of the division, while a loss would essentially cause the apocalypse and drive me to drown myself in beer.

Keys To The Game
- Offensively, we need the OL to step up and continue to grow. I would hope we also don't turn away from the run should we fall behind early.

- Defensively, the DL must improve. It would be nice to see Jay Ratliff make a return. I understand Ware is an elite all-around player, but can we please unleash the beast more?

- Overall, the team simply needs to execute. It doesn't matter how good your game plan is if you make mental errors like we saw last week (i.e. drops/fumbles)

Week 3 Challenge

Blue, Silver, White as individual teams post 10 unique facts either about this game, the opponents, or the Cowboys.

Caveat - the most a single individual player can post is 4. So in order to get 1 point for your division you need at the bare minimum 3 people participating.

What to I mean about unique facts? Well Cincinnati have in the first two weeks given up more passing yards in team history. Or how Miles Austin is tied for 10th in team history for TD receptions.

Go. Do some homework. Dazzle me. The point of this challenge is for you to find out some more unique stuff. Go back and see how our super bowl teams have fared on week 3 and if there is any correlation. Or what our record against the bucs is. We already know that when Murray rushes more than 20 times we are undefeated. What other nuggets are out there?

Also, I will notify you if I feel your stat/fact sucks. For instance you posting that we will play on the 23rd is dumb. There are literally thousands of different things you can find and post.

If it is about this game or relevant somehow post it here. If not post it here: http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=497794

Each Division needs 10 facts. You need at least 3 different posters to get those facts out. Start researching.

To make it easier....

I want 10 facts / stats / interesting bits of info per division. And you need at least 3 different posters to help get to that number.

Pretty much anything is game. When Murray rushes over 20's we win. The Bengals have given up more passing yards in the past two weeks than they ever have in the first two weeks.

Be creative. Do some research. Find out more about the team that you love.

Any questions PM me.

Interesting Fact #1: Only one Dallas Cowboy team that went on to win the Super Bowl the same year, didn't win it's third game of that season. The team? The 1971 Dallas Cowboys, who lost 20-16 against the Washington Redskins.

Interesting Fact #2: The 1977 Dallas Cowboys also played the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in week three. They would win the game 23-7.

It like to submit all of these facts. The numbers need tweaking, but I want to claim them before anyone else.

Quote:
Tony Romo
1. With Two more regular season wins Romo will become the 4th most winning QB in Dallas Cowboy history. Surpassing Dandy Don. He would have to go undefeated (16-0) to move into third.

2. 1,867 yards are needed to slid into 2nd all time in terms of yards. He is 4th right now.

3. Romo has 149 TD's which is 4th all time. 5 more he moves into 3rd. 7 and he moves into 3rd. 17 and he supplants Aikman as first in franchise history.

Miles Austin
1. He is 14th right now in reception yards. 272 and he will slide into 10th all time.

2. He is 11th all time on the list. With 3 more he will be tied for 9th.

Jason Witten
1. He is 3rd all time in the Yards list. With 80 yards he will move into second.

2. He is 6th in Receiving TD's. 8 More and he will become 5th. 10 more and he becomes Tied for 3rd.

3. Witten is 2nd in terms of Receptions. With 55 more receptions he will supplant Irvin as the clubs leader in receptions.

4. Witten is 13th in the clubhouse in total TD's. With 2 more he moves into 11th. With 5 this season he moves into 9th overall.

DeMarcus Ware
1. With 1/2 a sack he joins the 100 Sack club.

2. With 9 tackles, Ware will move into the 10th spot for teams total tackles. With 34 he moves into 9th.

3. If he gets 23 sacks this season, not only will he have the sack record but he will also slide into 13th all time in the NFL. He is currently 29th.

White Division - Facts

#1 - Tony Romo has a career completion percentage of 70.6% against the Bucs.

#2 - He also have a perfect 11 TD's versus 0 INT's during that same period.

#3 - The only player in Cowboys history born on September 23rd is Quincy Morgan, born 9/23/1977. Happy early 35th Birthday Quincy!

I for one can't wait for this game. My best friend is a Bucs fan and the trash talking has reached fantastic levels. I actually think they match up pretty well against us.

27 - 13 Dallas
