Yeah Jim doesn't do the Belicheck thing where he runs the score up on people. Besides Tampa of coarse. I used to like coaches who do that but it seems to come back an bite them later. Harbaugh isn't the kind of guy in the league to make friends, and he has run the score up in college, but sometimes I wonder why he gets off the gas. He lets us linger around a little too close for comfort sometimes.

Also any idea why we slaughtered Tampa so badly last year?

my guess is he wanted to embarass Freeman so bad that TB would play his guy Josh Johnson instead

I think it was due to Raheem Morris dubbing his team the West Coast killers. I don't believe Harbaugh was happy with that comment at all.

OLB Haggans suspended for the next three games
Boy, we gonna be real thin at OLB. Bring back Chewbaktiari!!!
Quote:
It's unknown how the 49ers will proceed without him for the next three weeks. Defensive end Demarcus Dobbs could serve as an emergency third outside linebacker if anything happened to starters Ahmad Brooks and Aldon Smith. The 49ers also could bring rookie Cam Johnson up from the practice squad. Ikaika Alama-Francis and Eric Bakhtiari, both of whom were with the 49ers in the preseason, also are options.

We blew out the Rams 26-0, were up 19-3 against the Redskins before they scored a TD with 20 seconds left, were beating the Cardinals 23-0 before they scored a TD late as well. Our offense wasn't as good last season but we do tend to go conservative once we have a big lead.

I see us blowing out more teams this year though..............................

My best guess was that it was a little redemption for the team after they got abused by the Bucs just the year prior.

This is the exact reason as to why they put it on Tampa. The niners were in the height of a good run a nd Tampa dubbed themselves the west coast killas.

I remember this because I was on my 1 year wedding anniversary and I kept checking my phone and after the first it was already 21-0

As for this game I think anyone who thinks this game will be close just isn't comfortable with being considered a team that blows out the lesser competition. 9 years of suck will humble you, hell many if you may not have even been alive for the glory days. I was little but I can remember them with the exception of 84 as I was a little crap bag just being born in August.

We need to realize that with this staff and this team that the niners are a premier franchise once again and that it's ok o think they will put the wood to some of the lower teams in the league. Similar to the late 80's and early 90's against pretty much everybody.

I predict a turnover fest from Minnesota. AP gets shutdown as always by Willis and co. and gore will have a day. I do think we may see Alex struggle early, but I expect him to be solid.

Smth 20-32 235 yds 2 TD 0 INT

Gore 18 carries 133 yards 2 TD

VD 4 rec 74yds 1 TD

Moss 4 rec 110 yds 1 TD

Goldson with a pick 6

A couple of fumble rec as well for the defense

Niners win 41-9

Wow, that guy on the opening page is such a creep. Laughing I didn't see the video, but I heard its great (and strange).

As for this game? Definitally the hardest on the schedule. I really can't say enough about this 49ers team. There just isn't a weakness that I see on it from a talent standpoint, and Harbaugh has done an excellent job so far coaching. It seemed like you guys were in rebuild mode for so long, but now its all coming together. Hopefully Minnesota models its team after one like this!

Minnesota may be 1-1, but we are struggling. First and foremost, our Head Coach is terrible. I honestly don't know if he could coach is way out of a paper bag. I've tried to be patient with him, but its apparent that nothing is going to change. Frazier is awful, and Bill Musgrave calls the oddest calls. Sometimes its really effective, sometimes its conservative ELITE. More times than not, I think he's just hoping Peterson, Harvin or Rudolph (our only weapons worth a damn on offense) spring a big play for us, and then we'll sit on it as long as possible.

As for anyone who doesn't watch Christian Ponder, he does have an NFL arm (and its not bottom 10. I hate when people say that! He's middle of the pack. lol) and he is very accurate. His biggest problem, like most young QBs, is decision making. He does throw the "WTF?" ball, and the "Holy damn, that was amazing" ball, just like Favre. Wink Overall, he's a work in progress. Underrated athlete.

Our defense has some nice players, like Jared Allen, Erin Henderson, Everson Griffen (Pass rush specialist), Chris Cook and Harrison Smith, but otherwise its just big names or bad players. the middle of our Defense is very weak, and I don't know if we can stop Gore like we did D.Brown last week.

oh, and Chris Kluwe is awesome.

Okay, thats all. Good luck fellas. Here's to a good game, and by some miracle, I hope Minnesota wins! haha

Interesting. What's the deal with Kevin Williams so far?

It depends who you ask... Personally, I think the defensive tackles have been doing a good job. The Vikings have been playing well against the run, and Kevin Williams has been a big part of that. He's been getting some pressure as well. Guion next to him has struggled a bit. For how explosive he's supposed to be, he hasn't really gotten after the quarterback.

The biggest problem is the linebackers. Erin Henderson and Jasper Brinkley are both decent to good downhill guys, but they can't cover. Not many linebackers can cover Vernon Davis, but our linebackers can't even pretend to cover him. Laughing

That out and up Vernon runs every time Moss is in the game? Going to be unstoppable next week.

Sounds like it will be a great day for Delanie Walker to redeem himself, perhaps.

Getting open isn't the problem. The part where he catches the ball is part where he pulls a roman.

Ted Ginn Jr and Brandon Jacobs are suited up for their first practices since exhibition-season leg injuries.
