I'll never understand the decision to take Weeden in the first round. He's already 29 and has looked the worst of all the rookie QB's. _________________

Shelley Smith was waived by the Texans on September 1st and was claimed by the Rams.
Yesterday, he had his first career start and was straight ballin' (tough term for an offensive linemen, but he was that good). He was better than anyone else on the Rams offensive line on Sunday. Monster in the running game, good enough in the passing game.
Any thoughts on him as a player? Maybe he's a better fit for the power scheme the Rams run? _________________

The fact that his name is Shelley also gave me a laugh. The Texans take.....Shelley!! _________________

I don't know why we let him go. _________________

He was good this season in preseason, as well. I'm not sure why he was allowed to walk.
Perhaps he was out of PS eligibility and we'd already committed to Ben Jones and Brandon Brooks with draft picks this year.
Anyhow, good to know he's doing well. _________________ Welcome to Houston, DeAndre Hopkins! |

And the Mario saga continues in Buffalo!
After the high paid and over hyped defense gave up 35 points to the titans Sunday, Mario was asked post game if he was living up to the contract he signed, and he replied I don't care about your expectations, or anybodies expectations.

What's the O/u for the years actually played out on his contract? I'm gonna go with 3. _________________

And now Mario has gone ahead and had surgery on his wrist, but he "shouldn't" miss anytime. Maybe he doesn't want to come back to Houston and will make an excuse to stay in Buffalo....lol _________________

How did the Pats get Talib for only a 4th!
Also who do the Chiefs take at #1, Barkley? _________________

Yeah, it'll be Barkley. It'll come down to Geno and Barkley, and Barkley has a better track record of success, is more athletic, and is a pretty polished QB fundamentally. _________________

I'm not sure where to put this, but here it goes.
Beat the Bears next week. Beat them bad. I know you message board posters will try really hard. But try really, really hard for me. Like the hardest you have tried + 1.
Ok thanks! Bye! _________________ GO PACK GO!
