Ravens KR Jacoby Jones reportedly suffered a head injury in a brawl aboard a party bus when a stripper hit him in the head with a bottle late Sunday.
The bus was reportedly filled with Ravens players and at least one stripper named "Sweet Pea," who struck Jones with a "gigantic" Ace of Spades bottle. Jones was reportedly "bleeding everywhere," and an ambulance was called, though he did not have to be hospitalized. Notorious partier Bryant McKinnie was aboard the bus, but tried to break up the brawl. No arrests were made because "no one cooperated with cops." Jones is out indefinitely with a sprained MCL.

One of my friends said he heard a rumor the Browns might have interest in Tate. Anyone else see this?

Yeah. Schefter was pushing it. Makes sense for their offense. Plus, they should have the money to afford him as a priority FA.

I'd like to see Houston pull off the ultra rare three team trade between themselves, Cleveland, and Washington. Houston sends Tate to Cleveland, Cleveland sends their 2nd round pick to Washington, Washington sends Kirk Cousins to Houston.

Houston has a QB with a plausible future as a starter on their bench now who's learned in a very similar system and demonstrated an aptitude to run the offense well in limited time. Washington feels like it's getting significant ROI for a 3rd round pick and eliminating the ridiculous "QB controversy" that the media has stirred up, and Chud, Turner, and Banner get a piece in place on their offense that they apparently covet as they attempt to retool a roster with which they apparently had no interest in working.

To that last bit, I'm still absolutely mystified that Banner and Chudzinski got hired and had to make absolutely ZERO promises that they would attempt to win with the pieces in place.

Jacoby Jones - the gift that keeps on giving.... headaches, instead of receptions or great returns. So glad we have Hopkins now.

So glad I didn't have to be the first to post this. Better still was Harbaugh's quote afterwards.

Quote:
"I'm not very impressed personally with the report," Harbaugh said. "It's not something we want to be known for. We'd like to think it's not something those guys would want to be known for. It's nothing to be proud of, so I'm kind of disappointed in that sense."

I've been banging the Jacoby drum for years as his off-field lifestyle just didn't fit with the Texans and seemed to match with his lack of development and discipline on it. His 2008 DWI downtown was a red flag, but the Texans naively bought into this being his "wake up call" despite ample evidence both on and off the field that his stay on the straight and narrow was quite brief. The final straw should have been him missing the team flight in 09 after another bender, but again the Texans forgave "the kid." 2010 saw him more involved than ever as a receiver with 51 catches for 562 yards, but to me it made no sense to have him operating as a slot receiver since his hands were awful and no telling how many ints he caused with his penchant for tipping balls and abysmal route running. He had a terrible year as a returner in 2010 to boot.

Resigning him in 2011 made no sense to me on any level and absolutely came back to bite us with his absolute failure to step up with AJ hurt most of the season and what still must rank as one of the top 10 most damaging plays in playoff history with that absurd punt return. Funny how nobody references his 11 fumbles when questioning how the Texans could have let him go. That he had the cajones to complain about his treatment getting run out of town really ought to have drawn a very public airing of Jacoby's considerable dirty laundry that had been concealed over the years, but the Texans aren't that kind of organization.

Leave it to the team that turned Ray Lewis into a saint despite his involvement in a double murder and subsequent payoff and fathering 6 kids with 4 women, to come up with this ridiculous spin about Jacoby being committed to his family because his dad walked out on him. Damn sob story of Jacoby's upbringing and "redemption" ran all through the playoffs and then into Dancing with the Stars. Is it really so hard for ANYONE to actually fact check him. Exactly why did he have to transfer to Lane College? How many kids came before the official Jacoby Jr. last year? Just how high were you during the Jimmy Kimmel interview where you refused to take off your sunglasses?

I guess karma has a way of working these things out for all parties as he came into camp an out of shape mess, failed again to become a legit #2, had a teammate take him out on the first kickoff return of the season, and now true colors are becoming apparent as this fine family man apparently is rehabbing his knee via post game booze buses staffed by McKinnie's leftovers from the Vikings booze cruise, getting knocked around by strippers, and openly cavorting with wives of NBA players. Just don't come begging us for a job when the Ravens are done with you like your buddy Vonta Leach did.

Josh Freeman is getting benched for rookie Mike Glennon. I wouldn't mind trading for him and seeing if Kub can mold him. He's def got the talent.

Yep, because in today's NFL spending free agent dollars & high draft picks on running backs is wise investment and a winning strategy. It's not like you can find a guy like Alfred Morris to put up 1,6000 yards and 13 tds sitting around in the 6th round or anything. I fully expect Oakland and Buffalo to bid for Tate's services as well as the problems there are clearly based around the running game. I'm sure Carolina and Arizona will spend some more $ on running backs too. That Shonn Greene investment sure has paid off in Tennessee and weren't the Jets brilliant in bringing in Chris Ivory. Stupid is as stupid does.

No. Freeman had potential, but he's not the solution to any problem we have, and might create quite a few others.

But wait, he's younger, faster, and taller than Schaub with a bigger arm. He's everything some of you have been begging for. It cracks me up how some people continue to think the QB position is all about some flashy prototype. Heck noodle armed Chad Pennington and statue Brad Johnson are probably the best QBs to play for one of the Florida teams since Marino.

On the bright side (nod to Pastor), the addition of Glennon to the fraternity of starting QBs moves Schaub yet another step father from the 5 least attractive QBs list which was also aided by the Sanchez/Geno swap. Heck with Hoyer starting these days as well, Schaub doesn't even have the worst hairline anymore. We're still a good sight away from the days where girlfriends and wives would watch the Texans to glimpse David Carr's dreamy locks but we still live in a world where a dork like Jay Cutler can pull a Kristin Cavallari.

At least order has been restored in the Texans ranks as I just cant see our dough boy kicker pulling anything like some of the kickers we ran thru here for a while did. Good enough excuse for another pic from my Rachel Rackers collection (maybe the worst/best unintentional stripper/porn name ever).
