| Self-explanatory, I'm trying to get a feel for the goods and bads of all the teams so far. |

Good:
Defense looks improved. Held Chargers to just one TD last week despite them haveing good starting field position seemingly every drive. Held them to just 32 yards rushing on 20 carries. Players were in good position all night long and aside from a 46 yard and 25 yard pass, they kept gains to a minimum.
Carson Palmer limiting mistakes. He completed 69% of his passes for 297 yards, 1 TD and zero turnovers. He checked down to McFadden often, but still completed 68% of the 28 passes to players other than McFadden, and had some very nice, on target deep throws.
Penalties are slowly going down. We had 6 in this game, which is a reduction of 40% from last season's per game average. The top team last year was GB with 4.7 per game, and 6 per game would actually be top-10 material.
Bad:
Special Teams. Our long snapper got hurt and the backup put two snaps in the dirt, and with Jacoby Ford and Denarius Moore out, we had no difference makers in the return game
Run Game was terrible. We did switch blocking schemes, so it may play a role in this, but our line was unable to open holes and McFadden had no room to run all game long.
Wide Recievers hurt. With Ford and Moore out, DHB, Streater, and Hagan were unable to do much. Both DHB and Streater dropped big passes, and Streater turned the ball over on a fumble. Moore is practicing, but Ford is scheduled for surgery that could leave him on the sidelines all year. _________________

Three positives? Were there three??
Lechler not breaking his leg on that blocked punt.
Positive is we didn't get crushed when we should have
McFadden stayed healthy during a game he was used a lot
Negatives:
Still making stupid mistakes that costs teams games
More injuries
The offense couldn't find rhythm. |
