They need to call it what it is, the best offensive back trophy and cut the "best football player" bs. |
I couldn't agree more. In a year where there is no clear-cut winner like this they needed to go outside the box. Te'o is a Senior, had a tremendous year, is the best player on the best team, and has outstanding character. He was just as deserving as anyone, it should have gone to him.
Johnny Football is a great player though, he had a better statistical year than Tebow did when he won it. Still, I would have voted Te'o. |
This was the year jon. They had to break the mold, either by voting not only for an underclassman but a freshman, or a true defensive player.
Senior, defensive leader on a great undefeated defensive team. Does it all kind of defender.
Best chance they'd ever get but they gagged and voted for the freshman. |
Te'o had seven interceptions...seven! For a MLB. That is an amazing statistic. _________________ Ninja stealth muggers in the Bellagio has left me in a state of congitive disonance... |

Te'o has a lot of playmaking skills similar to Derrick Johnson at Texas. _________________

4 Fantasy Leagues this year
4 Playoff Berths this year.
2 Money leagues
Max Payout = $650
That would be a nice little Christmas bonus _________________

So guys - I am in my FF playoffs, and need your help. I need two RB's and a RB/WR flex from this lot :-
Moreno (@ Ravens)
Ballard (@ Texans)
Reggie Bush (@ Jaguars)
Nicks (@ Falcons)
Dwyer (@ Cowboys)
Its a sad state of affairs when I am not even asking people whether I should include Larry Fitzgerald in my lineup, because he is firmly on the bench ... Sigh. _________________ 20 TIMES, 20 TIMES MAN UNITTTTTEEDDD

My opinion is in bold.
Id go with Bush at RB for sure and Nicks at FLEX. Toss up is Dwyer over Ballard. I think Texans come out and destroy the Colts, leading to not a lot of rushing attempts for the Colts. _________________

I'd start Nicks and Bush for sure. My toss up would be between Dwyer and Moreno. I'm starting Dwyer and Nicks in my league this week, but Baltimores run defense is horrid. Tough call. _________________

Nicks has been so frustrating this year though. Sometimes he produces on that one knee but sometimes he doesn't even suit up because of it, or just doesn't see any targets. _________________ 20 TIMES, 20 TIMES MAN UNITTTTTEEDDD

Tell me about it.. Just when I think about just dropping him so I don't have to be pissed when he doesn't produce, he gets ten targets like he did last week. He does just enough for me to keep him in the line up. _________________

So apparently the Broncos have only scored 12 4th quarter points in the last 4 games. People who haven't been watching the Broncos think it's a pretty big issue. If John Fox was more like Belichick (running up the score), everyone would be praising the Broncos for being so good. That's the problem with these mainstream journalists who don't watch games. _________________
