Wow, that word has made it to the States? |
Is that actually a British word? |
Weve been using "murked" for years around here. I remember this kid in HS was actually nicknamed "Murky" because of how much he used it. |
Lol I say it all the time too. Who knew? Must be an east coast thing. |
I'm just so in touch with hip hop culture _________________

Well it hasn't made it to the epicenter of culture yet. (Utah) /sarcasm _________________

The Lions hired Brian Xanders as our Senior Personnel Executive and has been charged with changing the way the Lions scout and grade players. He looks to have a nice resume and I wanted to get an opinion...How should I feel? _________________

He never really had any power here. I was GM but GM in name only under Josh McDaniels as McDaniels made all the decisions. He was then GM under Elway but, again, Elway made all the decisions. Elway fired him last year after the draft because he really contributed nothing, he had a reputation around Dove Valley as being a "yes-man" and Elway had no patience for a yes-man. Conversely, McDaniels needed to surround himself with yes-men so he fit well here in that role.
I don't think he will do any damage to the Lions but I certainly wouldn't count on him adding either. He's just another body in the front office. _________________ big_palooka:

I think he mostly was a cap guy. I dont know what'd he do for Det I could see him be a Mike Tannebaum type GM. Great w/ numbers and will go out and get the guys the HC wants. I have no idea what system he'd put in place for the team for scouting. Only Exec I'm familiar w/ that he worked under was only for a short amount of time. _________________

Xander's isn't the GM of the lions, just joined the front office. _________________

The title mixup is my bad. But the way he described it makes it seem like he'd handle a lot of what the tradition GMs do(restructuring scouting grading ect)... _________________

Hey guys, just thought I would let you know that my break from FF is going to be much longer than expected. I'm voluntarily going to a local rehabilitation center as an impatient for my anorexia nervosa. I could be there for a while. I could be there for a wee bit. I'm not going on the Internet (although FF has nothing to do with this part.) because of all the triggering things that happen on it.
Have a good one.
