What can I say so far this season has been very odd.
The Giants lose their opener, something that has not happened to the Superbowl champ since the 90s. Heck it looks like they may go 0-2.
The Saints are likely to go 0 -2, I guess contrary to the "experts" Brees is not the actual brain of the Saints and playing angry is not enough to win.
The Jets had an insane offense the first week.
KC was supposed to be a team with great talent, I guess it just does not include winning games.
The Packers were the force to be reckoned with and the 49ers were just a splash last year. So much for that being true.
What other "givens" were there going into this season that have already been ripped up and thrown in the garbage? |

It hasn't even been close to 2 completed weeks. Let's not jump to any conclusion yet. _________________ RIP SuperSkinFan

These are not conclusions. Who would have said that the Saints would/might go 0 and 2?
Who would have thought the Packers lose opening night? Not a single "expert" picked the 49ers to win and they not only won but they dominated. The game was not as close as the score shows. In fact the Packer Offense is really making me wonder. The Packers beat the Bears but it was with their defense. Take away the fake put score and you have a very low scoring fairly close game. |

| Last year was a fluke year due to lockout. I much more prefer this season hopefully the QB numbers stay down like they have so far. They were so inflated last year. |

*sigh*
Weird stuff happens EVERY YEAR. Regression, players getting better, different coaches, etc. So much parity. _________________

So much parity so far.
I hope its like 2004, were in the NFC, week 16, just one team was eliminated from the playoffs, and this year, if things keep like this, is gonna be like that.
I don't mind if there is 7-9 or 8-8 teams making playoffs. The bigger the parity, the better. That year the Panthers started 1-7 and needed only a win on last week to go to the playoffs. |

Preseason media expectations are alwasy too black and white. IF you beleived them we would have 5+ 16-0/15-1 teams and multiple teams that are 0-16/1-15. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

It seems to me that offenses have regressed back to the mean this year. May even have a down year. Defenses seem a whole lot better...but that's to be expected. _________________

But.....But......But.....The Chiefs have a top 3 Defense in the NFL, and have the most talent on their roster.... _________________

I think the weirdest thing is the performance of the elite QB's. This is all relatively speaking but they are off to a pretty slow start. Whatever order you have them in, Brees, Rodgers and Brady are the top 3 QB's in the league. They've played ok, but nowhere near the level they previously established.
As a disclaimer, I realize this is only week 2. all three can obviously go an insane run at any point |

It's a good season. So far pending how the 9ers and Falcons/Broncos play there is no clear cut "Elite" team in the league yet. I like to see that. _________________
