It’s that time of the year folks. No, I’m not talking about the start of the NFL season, I’m talking about the time to decide FF’s favorite artist!
Here’s what I need from you:
• PM me a list of your top artist of all time (lists can be between 15-25, any list under 15 will not be counted, any artist after 25 will not be counted). Try to add as many artists as you deem worthy.
• Number your list from 1 to 25 (#1 should be your favorite)
• Try to add a song to the list as well, the song can be your favorite or a song that you think will best introduce new listeners to this artist. Again, try to do this for as many artist on your list as possible. No links needed.
Example:

Scoring System:
25 points for your #1 artist, 24 points for the 2nd artist, and so on.
Notes:
*Voting will end Friday the 21st at 5 pm est, so you have a whole week to get your votes in.
*Don't post your list in the thread, feel free to discuss who's on your list but I would like the results to be as much of a surprise as possible
*This is a top 100 list but I will be posting the HM's next Friday.
Let's keep the discussion going for this week before the lists gets started. What are some artist on your list that no one else will have? Who's #25 on your list? Biggest risers from the last list? Who drops the the furthest from last list?

50 is too many. Two 25th place votes cancel out one 1st place vote. Probably going to skew the results.

It's hard to come up with a true overall top 10 list...I mean look at some of these names...Atmosphere, Killers, Kanye West??? How does this happen?
I remember a bracket style thread from a few years back (rock only). The Beatles went down in the 2nd round to STP I believe and almost lost to Collective Soul in the 1st. I believe the final four was Guns N Roses, Metallica, Pearl Jam and Led Zeppelin. Queen, Pink Floyd, and RHCP were in it as well. If people do lists up to a certain number, the Beatles are more likely to be on a list....but the high majority who don't include the Beatles on their list enjoy STP more.
I also gotta wonder where The Who and Pearl Jam ranked on last year's results. They tied in a thread a few years ago for most posters voting them as their favorite artist. |

The Who ranked #13 and Pearl Jam ranked #44. I don't think there was one of these threads last year, those rankings are from 2010.
Also if you want to see your favorite artist higher on the list, send in your votes! |
