Clowney for S. Carolina is an absolute machine.....he's had two of the biggest, hardest hits on a running back behind the line of scrimmage I've ever seen

Wouldn't be the best decision, but I wonder if Clowney will declare now.

He's a true sophomore, can't declare.

Really? I could have swore he was a rSO. Never mind then..

and it would be the best decision because he would be the #1 overall pick... But he can't.

These true sophomores are scary...sign of the future?

So, would you be prepared to trade up and get Star Letolelei? And for what price?

- I would, if we could do it for this years 1st and next years 2nd.

if we could do it for a future 2nd rounder if definitely consider it because we could still get OL in this years draft but I don't see us moving from 18 to 2 with just a future 2nd.

I would see it as us winning that trade as well. Would maybe throw in a next years 4th also, but that would be about it. But would have a hard time seeing anyone agreeing to that. Maybe Kansas, if Orton is in the trade as well? could be awesome. But more likely just a dream..

- Defintly wouldnt trade away this years 2nd unless we have plans of trading back into the 2nd again, for the exact reason that you point out.

I think at this point Star is a pipe dream. Don't think I would give up what it would take.

Wasn't sure where to ask this, so I'll just ask it here.

Rate this trade on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being SUPER AWESOME and 1 being GTFO.

Cowboys trade #18, 2013 3rd, 2014 1st, 2014 2nd, Mike Jenkins, late 2013 pick (think 5th, maybe 6th)

Lions trade #5, Cliff Avril

The bolded even out in the trade value chart. At #5 you guys take Star Lotulelei, you guys lose Spencer in FA, you can take OL with your 2nd pick, and could sign Louis Delmas (I don't have the Lions re-signing him in my mock).

1.5

That is an incredibly steep price, and one that Dallas should not pay. And Mike Jenkins is a free agent, so we can't trade him. But even without him, we are talking two firsts, two seconds, and a third for the 5th pick? No thanks

Avril isn't a good fit in the Boys' scheme.

Also, it only cost the team a 2nd-round pick to move from 14 to 6 last year. So, the deal would be:

#18, 2013 pick, and 2014 2nd-round pick for #5
2014 1st-round pick + 2012 3rd-round pick + roster player (substituted for Jenkins since he's a FA) for Avril. Avril isn't worth that much.

Nevermind that Avril and Jenkins are free agents and not tradeable.

Cant Avril get the tag 'n trade? That might be what he was thinking. But agree with you on Jenkins

I haven't seen a ton of Shariff Floyd, but he is really impressing me tonight. He has a quick first step and crosses the face of the lineman so fast. Has a really nice swim move that he uses quite a bit. He seems to get penetration on nearly every play he's in there which is what this defense needs.

Love Floyd. Fantastic motor. Great on Special Teams as well. He would be near the top of my list.

I want Floyd on this team. The problem is that I think he promoted himself from a 3rd round pick to a 2nd round pick. As I've said before, he has all world potential.
