That is because he is signed through 2016 |

Hahah, I literally just laughed and my roommate asked what was so funny
According to this, Unger signed a 5 year, $25M extension this year. Pretty reliable site, I know a lot of people around the forums use it for researching salaries and whatnot. But I agree, I would love to have signed Unger in free agency. Good call on that. |
Ok thanks! Id looked into it and had seen plenty of people saying the Cowboys should sign him. Probably done before his extension. |
Probably. He is an above average center, so we could have for sure used him.
Looking back on it, we should have pulled out all stops to sign Chris Meyers. _________________

I was personally gunning for us to get Nicks or Grubbs. But oh well. At least we have a deep draft class this year! _________________

You combine the two and I become pleased.
Mingo - Cooper - Jefferson would be fantastic. _________________

Thanks for the advice, I actually like Cooper better then any other OL in the draft. I would like Landry Jones in the 3rd or so and develop him behind Romo for a few years. Need the QB of the future so we arent stuck like after Aikman _________________

I have Cooper rated as the highest ranked OL for our team. So I agree.
Not a massive fan of Jones, though. But I am a disciple of the Ron Wolf school - so I want A qb taken. _________________

Yea Im a huge UNC fan, more so in basketball then football. Cooper if in the 2nd would be the biggest steal of the draft. I also like Brennan Williams OT from UNC as well _________________

I think it's well known why I wouldn't have any issues with drafting Cooper. But, to reiterate:
Butch Davis recruited.
Butch Davis trained.
Butch David coached.

I personally feel that Warmack is athletically right there with Cooper and is the better overall guard. I just feel that the weight issue might keep Dallas away from Warmack when it shouldn't. _________________

I can understand that, both are really good and would love either one. I guess im a little biased when it comes to the Tar Heels though _________________

I personally disagree. Cooper is the better athlete, the better one on pulls, screens and the best one to get to the second level and block LB's and safeties. Also, I would claim that Cooper also is the better one is pass protection, but that one is a bit harder to judge since Warmack has met better competition. Don't think that's going to be a big challenge for him to translate to the NFL, because he has met NFL talent in practise every week anyway.
Warmack clearly is the strongest of those two. And for pushing the D line back when running in shortyardage situations, Warmack clearly is the one you want. But else, I would pretty much prefer Cooper. especially in a zone blocking scheme. And no way he is gonna last to mid 2nd round... |

Have you watched film of Warmack? This guy is so technically sound its ridiculous. He not only gets a great push but he walls off defenders in pass pro and gets to the 2nd level constantly. I before thought that Jones was a better OL than Warmack but I was by far wrong. I would say Warmack is a better OL prospect than Decastro and Iupati. _________________

I would like to say I would take 3 of 'Bama's offensive lineman on this team.
Smith - Warmack - Jones - Fluker - Free
That OL would be unstoppable. _________________
