BTW, Dalton set career highs in YPA (10.3, previous was 8.7) and QB rating (128.2, previous was 111.5). Tied a career high in TD passes (3).

Just some of the stats from yesterday.

But had he thrown some away, both would drop. I might be wrong, but sacks aren't included in QBRs

Wow. I thought he played well, but never expected it to be that good numbers wise.

I was just thinking that it was the most ho-hum/average career game ever.

He's playing well, just needs to get that deep ball accuracy to Green going...

Coming out of yesterday's game, I would say i have 2 issues. He needs to throw the ball away more (which he did last year) and his deep ball accuracy and touch. If he can be more consisten with his deep passing, he will be a very good QB.

He did have the one nice deep ball to Tate. He had room in the pocket, and stepped into the throw with rhythm. It was a thing of beauty.

On his other deep throws, he's been harassed and step around defenders, or can't step into the throw properly.

He did take a lot of sacks yesterday. 6 yesterday (another career high, previous high was 4 in week 1, as in last week).

They do not.

You're right, both would drop. But they would probably still be highs.

Let's say he throws three away. YPA drops to 9.4. Don't know about the QBR, but i bet it's still higher than 110.

I didn't really notice him much. I saw 1 play he defended a pass against the RB and had good coverage. But honestly I didnt hear his named called at all.

Hey guys, Browns fan here wishing you good luck (and injury free) the rest of the way. Battle of OH is always close, you guys have had the upper hand in the close ones recently, hope we can change the trend. We both have young teams and I'm looking forward to seeing the rivalry.

You guys have killer WR's but I think both of our secondaries played poorly yesterday.

To quote Bill Parcells, "he's singing in the choir; he ain't no soloist yet".....

He played better than Rey Maualuga, but that ain't sayin' much.......

I just started a play time thread: Vincent Rey played more than Burfict.

He took those sacks because he was hanging onto the ball too long maybe, alot like Roethlisburger in recent years perhaps......

There is no doubt he held onto it for too long. I think he was trying to take advantage of the secondary because Haden was out. But towards the end of the game he got back to the quick passes and get the ball in the playmakers hands and we saw how that turned out.

I wouldn't put the sacks on the O line too much, but there were some miscues by them which didn't help

I think part of the reason you had so many sacks was because of design. Jauron blitzed the crap out of Philly and had a lot of sacks too iirc. Also without Haden and Brown we had to go all out with our pass rush. We had no choice. It's also part of the reason we did decent versus your run game. Sometimes it worked, other times Dalton burnt us.

Not really. Dalton would just step up and fall down instead of throwing it away

Looks like the skins will be without Kerrigan and Orakpo next week. Hopefully we get Dunlap back.

That's good but our defense worries me against RG3

Yeah man it will be painful to watch. Hopefully the Dalton gang can turn these long drives they have been pretty good at and turn them into seven points.

Also RGIII is due for a letdown sometime, hopefully the D can at least come up with a few turnovers.
