Yep, that's the matchup I'm intrigued by. _________________ Stop slobbering over Brian Dawkins |

| Unlike everyone else I'm not that high on DT. His ability to catch in stride down the field is a big question mark for me. |

Jack Del Rio vs. Dirk Koetter:
(Former Jaguars Head Coach) Broncos Defensive Coordinator vs. (Former Jaguars Offensive Coordinator) Falcons Offensive Coordinator
You think that will be a fun one to gameplan for? |
Sometimes something can be right in front of you and you still don't see it. Of course this is going to be one sub-plot on Monday night, although Koetter has much more to work with in ATL. Hence, if this match up offers any advantage for either side, which I doubt it does, the Falcons will be the beneficiary.
Anyways, I don't think we will be able to win this one. Of course Manning can exploit their defense. They are going to miss Grimes and already miss Lofton. Samuel is gamble and gamble only. And Robinson has gotten more average the longer he plays in the NFL. There are weaknesses to work with. But I just don't see us matching up with the Falcons' air attack. Check it down to Quizz, hit Gonzo over the middle, target Jones/White/Douglas anywhere. Our pass rush really has to step it up. The Falcons' OL has been their Achilles' heel and though I don't know how they performed against KC, we just really have to get into Ryan's face. Yet even if we do, they play at home, are a good dome team, and seem to be determined to shed the soft label.

Champ can definitely, definitely handle Roddy White. _________________ 20 TIMES, 20 TIMES MAN UNITTTTTEEDDD

I just cannot see the Broncos winning this one on the road. Then again, if Peyton Manning is the Peyton of old...then the Broncos have a chance, because they will simply be trading TD's for TD's all game.
I think it will be 52 to 49...Falcon. _________________ Ninja stealth muggers in the Bellagio has left me in a state of congitive disonance... |

I'm worried about Tony Gonzalez this game. Probably even more than I'm worried about their WRs. Heath Miller had a fairly good game, and our LBs struggle in coverage. I envision him getting a lot of short yardage gains to move the sticks.
That being said, our performance against the run was encouraging week one, but remember, it was against Steelers backups, and Dwyer actually played very well against us. I don't think Turner is a huge threat, however. He's an overrated RB in my book. Jacquizz Rodgers will be an interesting matchup though, because they like to use him the way we thought we would be using Hillman.
ATL not having Grimes is big. I agree with lomax about Dunta. He's just not very good. We should better be able to attack in the passing game knowing this, and it just so happens Manning looks on point. I think we'll shore up some of our defensive woes this time.

Just heard that Manning is 11-3 all time on Monday Night. Maybe that will help. _________________ Ninja stealth muggers in the Bellagio has left me in a state of congitive disonance... |

Just FYI, Matt Ryan is 26-4 at home.
The only team to beat us by more than 4 points was the 2011 Packers who went 15-1. If you win this game by a TD, it's a very good sign for your season. |

I was given two tickets to this game, but am going to Miami to watch Oakland.
Any Bronco fans in the ATL area? I have 2 tickets behind the Denver bench. _________________

This is definitely going to be a fun game, but I don't see Atlanta losing at home coming off their week one. _________________ RIP Darrent Williams |

Tony Gonzalez isn't going to break tackles like Heath Miller and since he doesn't have a Quarterback that can extend plays like Ben does, what's the problem? Woodyard can match up fine to Tony Gonzalez.

Good points. I think the reaction to Millers performance is a bit over the top. We held him to about his average. Nothing wrong with that. He's a pretty good pro and will always get his.
Oh yeah, fixed the bolded for you. |

I would put them on stubhub or craigslist... If they are decent seats it will net you at least $450 for both tickets. Free money is the best money. _________________

Champ can definitely, definitely handle Roddy White. | I expect Champ to spend alot of time against JJ. I know Jones is a great talent, but let's not sell Champ short here. Champ has a way of getting to guys that haven't faced him before. He can frustrate guys and and get them out of rhythm. Jones will get his, but I think Champ can keep him from destroying us.
I like our chances in a big game like this. Atlanta has alot of pressure on them. Nationally, they are being touted as a NFC stalwart and their fans are expecting greatness. Good chance for a veteran laden team like the Broncos to sneak out a win.
Broncos 28
Falcons 27
Manning 20-34 295 yards 2TD 1INT
McGahee 16 carries 80 yards 1TD
Moreno 6 carries 32 yards
Decker 8 catches 110 yards 1TD
D Thomas 4 catches 90 yards 1TD
Tamme 3 catches 35 yards
Dreessen 2 catches 20 yards 1 TD
Check out my stat predictions last week. They weren't that bad.
Manning 21-27 277 and 3 TD's is the game MVP.
Decker 5 for 85 1 TD
Thomas 3 for 60 1 TD
Dresseen 7 for 75 1 TD
McGahee 18 rushes for 75 yards 1TD _________________ GO BRONCOS! |
