What a wonderful experience. 31 offensive points. When is the last time that happened?

I'm tempering my optimism some but here are the negatives and positives I took away from the game;

Negatives

-Fisher made a few mistakes this game. He should have challenged the Gibson TD. That's a 7 point play when you are trailing by 11 early. The challenge flag issue is just a new and hanky rule. Fisher had been serving on the competition committee, so it is inexcusable, IMO.

-He's been playing well, but I can't help but notice Fletcher missing 2 easy picks already this year. They were both in crucial moments of the game also. I can't help but notice that the guys from the new regime have been making those plays.

Positives

-The #1, is that we got to silence and humble the Skin's fans that chose to be overly boisterous.

-Sam Bradford played a very good game. I'm one of the guys who said that if he doesn't improve we should look at the QBs next year. I still feel that way, especially given the ammo we have to get one, but if he keeps playing like this then I will rejoice.

-Even though the game began with us essentially giving away 14 points, (Not challenging the Gibby TD, the fumble return TD), we held it together and retained confidence. Last year's team would have mailed it in and we would have lost by 40. Kudos to Fisher on that one.

We are close to being 2-0 against very respectable teams. This is awesome.

I don't really care if Fletcher drops picks if he keeps limiting WRs the way he has. Wink Laughing

Couldn't tell you. I can tell you the last time the Rams scored at least 58 points in the first two weeks was 2006.

To be fair, I was at the game and they only had one replay available to put up on the jumbo screen. From that vantage point it looked like it was a toss-up call...

I'd put it more on the people upstairs who watch the replays and then relay to Fisher to throw it on close calls...

I've always been one of those people who can't fathom why coaches don't throw the flag when replay shows it. Well, I realized they don't always get the 4 camera angles we're able to get at home, plus the fact there standing 50+ yards away from the screen as well. It makes a difference IMO...

Beginning this year, the replays shown in stadiums are the exact camera views that the referees use to make their calls. I was there at the game as well and I think that is a no brainer to challenge. You are only risking a first half time out versus 7 points. It was clearly close enough to be challenged.

I do. It cost three points against Detroit and it was a missed opportunity to close out the Redskins yesterday. That was a 6 point play if he catches it.

Like I said, he has been playing well but you have to make the splash plays when the opportunity presents itself.

And we have no idea of any other CB on our team would have even been in position to make that play. And he also hasn't cost us 6 points yet. Meaning he hasn't given up a TD.

Anyone having that terrifying feeling about our pass rush vs the bears?

That somehow those guys are going to Hold Quinn and Long on check?

If Sam lights that D on fire then WOW. I'll have a heart attack on the spot.

I have a feeling they will have to hose Bradford down at halftime to clean him up. They need to get a lot of quick passes out this game and really pick their spots to take shots down the field. Also utilize the screen came to slow down the pass rush. I will be amazed if Wayne Hunter hold his own vs Julius Peppers.

Right, but he cost us 3 points with the first drop, and then 6 points with the second. I'm glad he is on our team, I wasn't saying he is bad, just that guys from the new regime have been making those plays.

He didn't cost us 6 points. The only reason we had a chance at 6 points was because he was doing such a good job and even then, it was a tough catch. He had to reach behind him on a ball that had a lot of heat on it.

That's like saying D-Rich cost us 6 points because he didn't make the safety miss at the end of that run...

And as much as I love Janoris, he got absolutely burnt by Hankerson on Sunday so I guess it depends on what you're wanting. I say, let Janoris and Cortland be aggressive ball-hawks while Bradley continues to consistently limit the guys he faces.
