Some bad news post Raiders game. All info from Rotoworld.
| Quote: | Chargers LCB Quentin Jammer broke his hand in Monday's win over the Raiders.
It's unknown if Jammer will suit up in Sunday's game against the Titans, but it wouldn't be the first time a corner has played through a broken hand. It's possible Jammer will end up a game-time decision. Jammer's most likely fill-in Shareece Wright suffered an ankle injury against Oakland. His Week 2 availability is unknown. Coming off an up-and-down game against the Patriots, Titans QB Jake Locker could be in for a very favorable matchup Sunday. |
| Quote: | Kevin Acee of the Union-Tribune San Diego remains skeptical that Ryan Mathews (clavicle) will play versus the Titans in Week 2.
"I don't think so, though there's been talk that maybe he'll be cleared for contact on Wednesday," said Acee. "I've always said that it would be Atlanta (Week 3), that's what I'm sticking to based on initial (diagnosis), what I've heard, and that there's nothing different." Acee was told by one person Monday that "maybe you could see him this week," but he's still predicting Mathews won't play against Tennessee. |
| Quote: | Chargers LT Jared Gaither (back) is not expected to play against the Titans.
The Chargers' $24.6 million left tackle has had two negative MRIs, but still has no timetable for a return. Further testing is scheduled and the Chargers remain in the market for tackle help. Meanwhile, undrafted rookie Mike Harris handled himself well on Monday night as the starting left tackle against Raiders DE Matt Shaughnessy. |
| Quote: | Chargers KR Richard Goodman sustained a concussion in the Chargers' Week 1 win over the Raiders.
Goodman picked up 76 yards on three kickoff returns before leaving. He ranked fourth in the league in kickoff return average last season, behind only Joe McKnight, Randall Cobb and Ted Ginn. |

Mathews and Gaither were expected.
A broken hand isn't as bad for a CB as it might be for other positions, but Jammer is really physical, so it may keep him out. With Wright hurting his ankle, things are very thin at CB. _________________

Yeah, I wasn't expecting Mathews or Gaither, but the CB blows will be hard to take. I thought Jammer played great vs. the Raiders, hopefully this injury doesn't limit his effectiveness too much.
And it's a shame about Goodman. He has developed into one of the better KR in the league and is a great gunner as well. Hopefully the concussions aren't reoccurring. |

It's becoming almost standard for defensive backs to play with broken hands. Jammer had surgery on Tuesday, but is expected to wear a cast and suit up. The Chargers are desperate as No. 3 corner Shareece Wright sustained a potentially serious ankle injury in Week 1. |
Good news about Jammer, but it looks like we may see another CB brought in. _________________

Jammer in a cast is what I've heard... while he can certainly deflect the pass, I think this means Locker can take more risks throwing the pigskin around. _________________

The cast may actually improve Jammers hands. _________________

He never really got a whol ton of ints reguardless of what point in his career, especially now, hes usually been a more physical CB who tries to hit guys to break up the pass, or obviously deflect it away rather than trying to jump passes. He never had the quickness for that... _________________

Yep, i assume with Mathews coming back that spells the end for one of our RB's, my guess is Brink, because he does nothing on STs, but we'll see. Lynch/Battle/Gachkar/Goodman have too much value on STs. _________________

Jammer still wouldn't catch a pass even if he used Stickum. |

I was thinking his useless fingers couldn't get in the way anymore but yea, I expect NO drop off from Jammer due to a cast. _________________
