didnt roast you, but come on man, last year was the only year where he missed significant time. http://www.nfl.com/player/ronbartell/2506389/profile
Injuries happen in the NFL... and just because a player gets injuries back to back year doesnt make him injury prone. _________________

| Atleast we have an early bye week this year. CB has to be our number one need going into next year. Expect to see alot more of the great Giordano, with Huff picking up more CB duties. |

I thought Lee held his own when he replaced Bartell...
Wonder who will be the first to suggest trading for Mike Jenkin?... oh, my bad. |

Helped the opposing QB maybe. No worries, Chimney Chekwa will fill in most likely _________________

Is Bryant McFadden retired? Not the greatest pick up but I always remember him being solid. _________________

4-6 weeks depending on how he feels/recovers. This is obviously a tough loss with our already paper thin secondary.
As far as replacements go, Pat Lee was decent last night, but I'm not sure how reliable he can really be. I'm not aware of the FA DB's out there, but this could mean Chekwa gets promoted from practice squad.
Really wanted Tracy Porter in the off season, but Denver beat us to the chase with more money. _________________

If I were them I would bring McCann back. He can return and play corner just as good as Lee. Solves two issues. We dont need a returner to take one to the house just one that will not screw up. McCann did well all last year and all preseason. We could possibly get him back by the ATL game but at worse the KC game.
Losing Bartell will hurt our run D more than our pass D I think. Next two games are must wins IMO. Hopefully they focus on clearing up the ST issues. Everything else should fall into place. |

I honestly didn't mean to make it seem like i was laughing at his injury in any way. I just got blasted over the summer when i said he was injury prone, only to see the news after week 1 that he will miss at least 4 games... Just ironic.
Back to it being about how it will affect the team. The Raiders CB depth was pretty bad to begin with. Who is going to move to the dime CB position? Joselio Hanson seems like a really smart signing right about now though. But if he is asked to guard on the outside he is going to get torched.
In all honesty i gotta give Dennis Allen credit. Your defense looked very much improved last night. Obviously it's just 1 game, but they did look good for sure... Will be interesting to see how it holds up all season. _________________

I completely forgot about Mike Jenkins, he is in the last year of his rookie contract, I would trade a 5th for him but im sure the cowboys would rather keep him as insurance. Wouldn't hurt to bring him in on a cheap prove it type deal in the offseason. |
