Former Niners, Redskins and Pats DE Andre Carter worked out for the Cardinals today.

Interesting. This could be nothing, just due diligence. Or it could be something. Guess we'll find out soon enough. _________________

He may be old but he's definitely not out of shape. He's got a Clark Haggans/Paris Lenon level of work ethic. He's probably in as good a shape as you can be at 33. And the guy had 10 sacks last year. If he comes cheap, which I imagine he would, he'd be a good option to push Schofield or at least be a decent 3rd down pass rusher. |

He is not coming in as an every down player, he would be signed as a sub-package pass rusher when our OLB's basically play as defensive ends anyway. This is a guy that posted double digit sacks last season, something that nobody has done in Arizona since Bertrand Berry had 14.5 sacks in 2004.
The fact he played for the Patriots last season is also an interesting plot point.
Personally I would love to pick up Carter as a veteran pass rusher. He can still get to the QB and we can play him how we did Bert Berry in has last couple of seasons here as a situational pass rusher. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's
