Rams
VS
Lions
Hey guys! Ramsfan28 didn't have time to do the Gameday thread this week, so I, Jason Smith, will be hijacking this thread!
Jason Smith Analysis
Okay, so, we have our offensive lineup posted here:
LT: Rodger Saffold
LG: Rok Watkins
C: Scott Wells
LG: Harvey Dahl
RT: Captain Sucktard
As you can see, good lineup, but they have to go against that Suh fellah. Also, Captain Sucktard is going to have his hands full, just being not as good as the former tackle that played his spot.
More analysis stuff:
Defensive ends suck. I hate pass blocking them.
Matchps:
Calvin Johnson vs. Cortland Finnegan
Should be good. I'll be sure to have my smartphone on display while I"m on the bench to check out Megatron. Everyone is going to be expecting at least one touchdown out of him on Sunday. Finny is a great corner, but he's going to have his hands full. Those guys that I used to go up against in practice are going to need to put pressure on Matt Stafford to help minimize the odds of the ball ending up in CJ's hands.
Steven Jackson vs. Detroit's D-line
Steven is tough, but so is Detroit's D-line. Umm....yeah...
What Ramsfan28 is making for dinner
Bo Ssam style pulled pork with Kimchi Slaw. NOMNOMNOMNOMNOM
Jason Smith humor segment
Ryan: Knock knock.
Smith: Who's there?
Ryan: ...want to come play football for the Jets?
Smith: Sure.
Ryan: ...these deep fried Oreo's are delicious. I'm having pancakes after this.
See! Jokes about obese coaches! I can totally do this guy's job!
It's great to be back! Can't wait to get this season underway! _________________

Being the first game of the season, it is almost like a preseason game. I hope there are no injuries and we have a good, clean game. GL guys!
P.S.- I am busy riling up El Ramster for you guys over in our GDT so I can send him back here wound up like a rubber band....you're welcome _________________

I say we put Finnegan on Young, just to see if he can get him to throw a few punches.
Honestly, though I just want a injury free game. I see our team holding close in the first half, I'm just not 100% sold that our offense is gelled yet. The o-oline still scares me, and Brandon Gibson is still on our roster lol hopefully they prove me wrong, I'm just excited to see football already. _________________ Robert Quinn

im quite excited the speakers will be loud and the jersey will be on, hopefully it wont have to come off by halftime. I think this game comes down to discipline on our defenses part. If we play a game where our defense is not over aggressive and does their job and doesn't try to play outside of their role we will be fine. They have no resemblance of a run game, we cannot over pursue in the run game. In my opinion we cannot play off coverage with our corners this game either. I understand they have Megatron he will command double coverage, but we have to treat this offense they way other teams treat ours, we have to make them pass to beat us and bring the pressure because we have the d line to get it done.
Sitting back in a soft cover two will get us killed. _________________

Just hope we escape Detroit uninjured and make it a closer game than last year.

So Brockers, Conrath, and Scott are all out? So that leaves the only healthy DTs as Langford, Heard, and Cudjo? _________________ Adopt-a-Ram: Brian Quick - 11 receptions, 156 yards, 2 TDs |

Thats what I have read.
I have a feeling Cudjo is going to have a really good game. I'm excited to see Heard play, I wanna see what he has to offer this team. _________________ Robert Quinn
