He was a pretty good player in college. Big hits, but a good player all-around. That has not translated to the NFL. |

Doubtful. Lacks speed and instincts.
Most "Experts" liked him, but not as a 2nd rounder, but as a 3rd rounder. _________________

Williams actually made some plays early on in his career. To think the Cowboys drafted him over some other safety that year. What was his name again...
But Jarrett never had enough instincts to play the safety position in the NFL, he was always a step slow. |

Wow. Never thought about that before, Roy Williams over Ed Reed. _________________

I liked him in that draft, but not until the 4rth or 5th round. It was a really big reach at the time, and clearly didn't pay off. Usually when you see early round picks get booted that quickly, it's because they had some sort of serious injury. When an early round pick is healthy and gets cut, that's a big let down. _________________

Agreed. Thankfully for the Eagles, we stole SS Kurt Coleman in the 7th round of the 2010 draft. He may not be a star, but he is a solid starter, and helps to lessen the blow of absolutely missing on Jarrett. _________________ 2013 Eagles Forum HOF

He never came off the field and he had just had a WR in his face. Also 2 INT's, And 2 PBU I think. _________________

Yup, but let's not judge him off of that play alone. He has been a solid starter. _________________ 2013 Eagles Forum HOF

Same guy who had two picks as well. I'm actually surpised he seriously didn't get injured. If you slow the video down and pause at 33 sec. His chin strap is covering his eye's "before the hit" after WR Gordon virtually ripped off his face mask when Kurt was trying to shed the block. The real reason the helmet came off. Not saying Coleman still probably wouldn't have been trucked given the timing and his balance at the time but not to that extent. If I knew how to freeze frame the picture I would, but I don't.

Yeah that will happen, Coleman is inconsistent. He's a good wrap-up tackler and he always knows where to be, but he's not going to match up man-to-man with anyone because of his height and he's not the strongest guy either. Good complimentary safety though, if only Nate Allen was consistently good. _________________
