- The Giants DL will be a big factor in this game. We have to give Freeman protection so that he is comfortable in the pocket and Martin lanes to run the ball.
- The Giants are the 1st team we face this year with some seriously good WRs/firepower. Talib, Wright, Barber and Barron will have their work cut out for them. But I trust they can keep it under control.
- Something that will help the DBs. The Giants run game looked anemic against the Cowboys. They are playing the current best run D in the NFL this week. If we keep playing well in run D against a struggling running game, we could make their O 1 dimensional.
- Once again, our WRs have a good matchup on their CBs. We need to keep passing well and our WRs should be able to make a play. This could be vital to us winning this game. Gotta protect Freeman first though.
- Lastly, we have the Giants former QB/WR coach as our OC and their former DC/LB coach as our DC. There are some secrets about the Giants being spread around One Buc that should help, even if just a little, on Sunday. |
Actually Mike Sullivan was just the QB coach,Sean Ryan was the WR coach. |
Sullivan was your WRs coach for 6 years from 2004 - 2009 and your QBs coach from 2010 - 2011. _________________

This will definitely be a good test to gauge how good our team actually is.
The offense needs to get going early again and the offensive line is really going to have to play better than it did vs Carolina. Our WRs should be able to win some match-ups but that means nothing if Freeman is on the ground.
Manning is a much better passer than Newton so our secondary will be tested for sure. If we can't get pressure early it could be a long day for our defense. |

If we can disrupt Manning i think we have a good chance, he has a nack for throwing Picks so we need the DL to get in his face.
McCoy, Clayborn and Bennett will have 4 sacks between them
Also hopefully we can shut down the run again Deanglo Williams > Bradshaw
Giants Secondary doesnt scare me at all, think we could get Jackson over 100 yards receiving and a TD
Only thing that scares me is Tuck, JPP and Osemioyna rushing #5 and making him make stupid decisions like last year
Bucs 27

I'm really looking forward to this match up.
Our defense needs to pick up where the left off .. They didn't look very good running the ball so they will probably try to come out Nd establish the run early. McCoy needs to be as disruptive as he was against Carolina. Our linebackers need to fill hard. Our pass rush was looking good. McCoy wwould have had 2-3 sacks if it was a quarterback other then Newton. After 're watching the game I counted the Bucs making 5 sacks and lots of pressure. They really need to put the heat on Eli. I would like to see our secondary fix some of their issues on the back end.
Offensively I reAlly wanna see Sully turn it lose. I think Jackson and Williams could both have big days. I would like to see Doug eclipse 100 and get in the endzone but I actually think he has a iffy day. Our O Line needs to protect better.
What I hope it will be - Bucs 31 Giants - 13
What I think it will be - Bucs 17 Giants 20
Also Im liking D.J Ware and I think he could have a good game. He looked good in pass protection and he ran well when he touched the ball. I am Liking Ware enough to wonder now what if we traded Blount. We could get something nice maybe in return and DJ ware would be a good number two... _________________

Showing my age, anyone remember those late 90s round 1's vs the nyg? Good times
Anyhow I honestly don't see nyg dropping two straight in jersey. Even if we beat them it won't be because we won it'll be "giants lost" |

The Giants may be the Super Bowl champs... but they aren't the regular season champs.
This will be an interesting game. They have Eli who can be very good with their WRs, and a very strong DL that will challenge the OL and Freeman. But I think our defense may be overall the better unit (assuming they can play at the same level) and that we have the stronger running game. Plus it helps that we have some of their coaches, and that I don't think we showed our full hand last week.
I think that if we protect the ball and if Freeman and the defense play well, we can win this game. Same thing as last week - but we'll probably need more from Freeman this week. _________________

| One thing I hope we get rid of is dropping 8 guys into coverage and 3 rush the passer. That never works bc Eli will carve us up with all that time bc dbs cannot cover a wr forever. I just think that needs to be scrapped from the book. |

Yeah, I feel like every time we did that, Cam just sat back their calmly and fired 20ish yard passes. _________________

This is what Sheridan is known for. When we hired him dont you remember Giants fans saying that he would do this all the time and it was one reasons why their defense was so week that year. Im not to worried about it yet but if it starts losing us games there is going to be a big problem. _________________

If we win this game, I'm calling for a playoff spot. Yup. I'll make that jump after week two. _________________
