He was terrible against the Cards. He has to be playing injured or something. Maybe he's lost all his confidence in his ankles? He seemed afraid of Acho and was constantly trying to jump the gun. There was many false starts not called on top of the 3 or 4 that were called. Hopefully he can sort it out. _________________

Pete said in the press conference that they were doing a lot of silent counts and Okung was just having trouble with the count.. _________________ Adopt-a-Hawk

I don't know what's up with Okung. He's looked slow and been getting beat consistently during the preseason and week 1. I know in the preseason he had trouble with Doomer/Von Miller, and then Tamba Hali. While not great, it's at least somewhat understandable. But The Sam Acho? Now I'm worried.
Before his injury he was kicking [inappropriate/removed]. Now....I just don't know what to think
Feel like it's gotta be some injury that's getting no press |

I guess I must have missed it, but where are you guys getting that Okung looked bad?
Sure, the penalties were frustrating, but he never got beat. Not sure why we're suddenly questioning his actual play. _________________

I'm with you man, Okung looked good out there physically, but he just had some mental lapses that caused some false starts. From what I remember of the game, all the pressure came up the middle. I can't remember a sack coming of the edge (at least off of Okung's side). _________________ Adopt-a-Hawk

Ya, I vaguely remember the pressure coming from Dockett and the blitz packages leaving our interior line looking like a turnstile more than anything off the edge, but it sure seemed that Okung was constantly trying to get a jump on the snap count for whatever reason. I thought maybe he was just nervous early, but it continued for the whole game. As far as this injury goes, I hope it's nothing serious, cuz if it's serious he may start losing confidence in his ability at some point and that would be a disaster. _________________ “They were threatened by my intelligence and too stupid to know that’s why they hated me.”

He looked ok besides the penalties in the red zone that made the 3rd down less manageable it was Sweezy letting Dockett and whoever else just run through the middle.
I like Giacomini's fire but he also has to tone it down he is going to cost us if he doesn't. _________________

| I thought he did good with the lack of ways to beat the pressure. In SG he was dropping back into pass pro after the ball was in the air. The others didn't get out of their stance until the ball was in RW's hands. |

What I don't like is that he is looking off. Tamba Hali and Doom had their way with him, when Okung shut down Hali last season. It was pre-season ,but he looks a step slower than usual. Hopefully it's nothign. _________________

It sucks that Okung is becoming a bust due to injuries. and only due to injuries. He is such a dominating force on the Oline.
With that said Ill give it til the end of the season for the "I told you so" routine. I thought Bulaga was the best OT coming out of college that year. So far hes been aces. Although I know what everyone will say Bulagas a RT Not a LT but at least hes been on the feild. Okung has missed almost as many games as he's played in. |

Doom made Okung look stupid, that was tough to watch as a Hawks fan. Very concerning, when you see who's coming thru here next week.
Ware could have field day this week, could get very very ugly. _________________ L.O.B.- D!CK, BOOM BOOM, ET, BB. |

Well Okung shut down Ware last year.
What I don't like was that Hali was able to beat him, when he did a great job on him in the regular season last year. _________________

If Seahawks fans are going to give Tarvaris Jackson the 'tough tag' for playing in 11 games with a torn pec, They should look at this kid Okung a little closer and see how tough he really is, His rookie year he played in 12 games with two really bad injuries to his ankles and played at a very good level for an injured rookie. His second year he 're-tweaked' one of this ankles but still played through the season at a high level until the cheap shot from Trent Cole that put him out the rest of the year. and now this knee injury, we will see what he does with it and how he plays, if he comes back and plays the Cowboys and does a good job blocking Ware, Well I say Okung is one tough cookie and deserves the credit as a 'tough guy'...
Put it this way, It's not like Oknug is 'weak' or 'made of glass', how many times have you seen an O-linemen get his leg rolled up on and come up with a torn ACL/MCL/PCL or even a dislocated kneecap?, I say a couple high-ankle sprains and a bruised knee shows how tough Okung really is, You can say it's just 'bad luck' or even the fault of the other o-linemen that can't keep their balance and fall into Oknug's legs.. The problem in this games wasn't Okung (besides the penalties). _________________ Adopt-a-Hawk
