Well, that was tough.
But its a new week!
The Panthers host the Saints in their home opener. In my opinion, it is close to a must-win.
vs
At beautiful Bank of America Stadium!
Keys to the game:
Jimmy Graham vs whoever covers him. Will it be TD, Kuechly, or ...Captain? We need to limit him and have someone else beat us.
Darren Sproles vs LB core. Beason, Kuechly, and TD will limit him this week, at least more than last year when he killed us.
Stewart? vs Saints D. We need Stewie back, otherwise, I see our running game struggling. I do feel Chud will focus more on the running game this week, and rightfully so.
Limiting the negative plays! 1st and longs killed us last week, positive yards on first down is key, and we need to block for Cam.
Do you guys think we win? I really could see us coming out strong and winning, but the Saints scare the hell out of me.
30-26 Saints.

Going 0-2 is basically a death sentence for any team. We can't let that happen. |

Not only would we 0-2 on the season, we'd be 0-2 in the division.
I'm calling this a must win this week, hoping Chud mans up and sticks to the ground game. |

The thing is the Bucs game looks like the "easiest" game in our schedule for a long time. We have the rest of the NFC South and the NFC East coming up soon. This could be an early make or break game for our entire season |

NO is going to eat Carolina up like nothing if the running game doesn't get established early. Stew should help with that but if the o-line doesn't step it up we're looking at an early pick next year. Also Brees is going to be fired up because he lost to a rookie last week so it'll be that much harder and the DBs also need to do work all game. I'm counting on a high scoring game. _________________

This is going to be a true test for our young D, a perennial top of the league offense with an elite QB. If we can some how hold this offense, any doubt of poor D will be erased in my mind. _________________

Our run D was spectacular against the Skins last week, but this is the true test.
Good luck to you guys. |

No worries our o line hasn't shown the ability to stop a nose bleed yet! Lol
All kidding aside I would hate to be settling for "spoiler role" after only 2 weeks! _________________

jeff byers and jonathan stewart were full participants today. smitty was limited and wore a knee brace which got sore on a hit last week (not the barron one). kenny onatolu missed practice due to the death of his mother said that smitty would play without a doubt and that stew's ankle will still be monitored up until sunday. so stew isn't totally in the clear yet... i'm sure he'll play on sunday though.
cam and rivera both no commented when asked about cam being put on the saints' bounty list. rivera said he didn't mind how the saints statpadded in week 17. just said that is there philosophy and if you don't like it, you need to do something about it, and we failed. also said he personally would not keep players in to break records. _________________

We need to start strong. And against the Saints, we have so many reasons to come out with a bang. _________________

I think we could win this game. D line has to continue getting pressure on their own though. _________________

This is gonna be a two man game. Sproles and Grahm. Sproles on SP Teams and Grahm against the Panthers D. That will determine who will win this game. Unfortunately, Grahm on most Sundays is an all-pro, but against the Panthers he's a Hall of Famer. Not looking to good in my eyes. I think the Saints win easily.
Yes this is acutally reverse psychology. Win Panthers Damn YOU!! |
