It looked really bad on the replays. Skelton was VERY OBVIOUSLY in a ton of pain.
I do not want to speculate here BUT, this looks like a serious deal.
UPDATE:
X-rays on Skelton's ankle were negative, MRI is pending.
UPDATED II:
Per Whiz, it's a low ankle sprain. _________________

Have not seen it, but there are a lot of ligaments and bones in the Ankle, could be any one of them, or more than one. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

I;m not entirely sure of what he hurt exactly. I heard the announcers saw his ankle but it could have been his leg or knee real easily too. _________________

Somers and Urban both reported as a right ankle injury. _________________

That's what the announcers said too but I'm really not sure. _________________

Whiz said the team is bracing for bad news, hoping for just a high ankle sprain.
If we're hoping for a high ankle sprain, an injury that would keep him out 3-4 weeks easy, this is obviously very bad. _________________

This really worry me. I think Kolb a good QB coming off the bench but I rather Skelton be starting. _________________

Fleming has a shoulder injury, no news on severity.
On the QB front, if Skelton is IR'ed we cannot bring back Bartel until after week 6 becasue he was initially put on IR before he was released with an injury settlement - Straight from the mouth of Rich. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Again, don't want to fuel the speculation train but if Skelton is in fact done for the year, we'd be on the veteran quarterback lookout IMHO. I just can;'t imagine Whiz would make Lindley the backup. _________________

Correction:
Whiz didn't say he was "hoping" it was a high ankle sprain...he said he was "praying" it was a high ankle sprain.
So are we Ken, so are we. _________________

He;ll be going for an MRI to confirm but it does sound like Jurecki's correct. Read on twitter that Skelton was walking in the locker room. Couldn't do that with a break and if the trainers suspected anything at all with his knee or leg, he'd be immobilized no questions asked.
We may have dodged a real bullet here, even if it is still 4-8 weeks. _________________
