Before calling for replacing our QB already, maybe we should try getting our QB a real offensive line.

Why didn't we do that for Colt McCoy? Oh I remember, he is just garbage, but Weeden will be great once he get an O-line.

Yep

Draft a QB

Give him 1 week in a new offense

If he struggles, draft a new one.

Genius

Your right, get back at me in a couple of weeks lol. For you I hope this is Weedens worse performance!!

Either way, you don't watch a rookie play poorly and then just deem him a failure and decide to draft another one next year in the first round.

It's people like you that make snap decisions that lead to us changing coaches and FO's every 3 years and blowing up the roster.

Play it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ha your right, lets play it out. We would be must better if we still had William Green, Brady Quinn, DA, Charlie Frye or any others, your right!

every single one of those guys got more than one game to prove their worth. So whats your point?

Read the post, blowing up the roster every 3 years.

Yea everyone on that list should have been blown up... literally

Thanks for proving my point, will be the exact same thing.

nvm..... Holy hell.

No I can not for sure. But to be fair, everyone on that list never had this kind of performance. I hate all the people giving optimism on this performance, everyone just needs to say hes suck and hope that he does better. All this positive thinking is extremely annoying after what he did today.

Even thought its impossible for our offense to produce this little on a regular basis, its also impossible for our defense to produce this much on a regular basis.

The only thing William green is known for besides one run is getting kicked out of a game before it started and gettgin stabbed by his gf, Charlie frye got replaced by derek freaking anderson enough said, Derek Anderson was a flash in the pan fluke, Brady Quinn while delicious looking is a career backup at best

I know all of this, but did any of them put up a ham like Weeden today? Only one worse was Ken Dorsey in 2009 I believe against the Bengals.

First, those long quote chains are just lazy.

2nd, Derek Anderson had 2 games that were around this bad:

2009 @ Buffalo: 2-17, 23 yards, 1 INT,
2009 @ Chicago: 6-17, 76 yards, 2 INT, 1 FMB, 1 FMB Lost

That being said, most everyone wanted DA out of town before these 2 games, and even those that still supported him were ready to release him on the spot after that Buffalo game. To be fair, DA did run for a TD in that 2nd game against Chicago, not that it means anything, but just to include it to keep things fair.

I know I realized that. That is why I put an end to it.

But getting to those games, the thing with DA, even when he played awful, he was good at still getting us the win. Sometimes getting the win is the most important stat.

I also forgot the game where BQ and DA played against Houston in 2008, where their combined numbers were:

13-32. 145 yards, 3 INTs

Pretty close to what we witnessed today.

Weeden wasn't ready to start, it was obvious in the preseason, but he's going to start. Like I've said before and I'll keep saying, this season is another throw away year, like Mangini's last season, like last season. We're going to be bad, Weeden may as well keep starting until he gets better or proves 100% that he's not worth the investment. It just kind of upsets me because I still think we win today with McCoy at QB, hell, with Seneca Wallace or Brady Quinn at QB. This QB performance is pretty low on an all time scale of terrible, but we can hope our O-line gives him and Trich more to work with next week and he at least improves to average. He has a long way to go to reach average, I think that's what people are most upset about.

I just wish more people had realized this before the game today, that he just wasn't playing well at all against vanilla defenses and guys who were just trying to stay healthy. It was pretty obvious when the real thing started and defenses actually cared about what was going on, that he was going to have a much harder time moving the chains.

At least we didn't spend our 1st pick on Tannehill, that's really the silver lining for the day for me.

Oh goodness I remember that game. And to me there is no doubt, with the same defensive performance we would have easily won with McCoy. With that said, I agree with you that we need to just keep starting him to see what he has. I hardly doubt even the FO thought this was going to be a winning season so lets see if Weeden progresses through out the season so they can stick with him for the future or just accept another failure.
