Gayle is a similar athlete on paper to McClellin so that's definitely possible. Better not be our 1st rounder though. It's more Murphy's long speed that I think he wouldn't like but he's the type of player I really like. I would love Irvin but I think Avril could be an option too. Not sure how long he'll be there.

An possible option that would be very interesting would be draft Buffalo OLB Khalil Mack and converting him to play DE…the guy clearly has natural pass rushing & playmaking talent.

I would LOVe Khalil Mack on this team, he fits every trait that Phil Emery goes for. I see a lot of DeMarcus Ware in him. I just think when alls said and done he becomes a top 10 pick, and the very worst a top 20 pick, which hopefully and IMO will be far out of Chicago's draft range.

I think he is a guy who would need a lot of homework done on him…he was great against Ohio State but disappeared against Baylor…his production is outstanding but it’s not against the best of competition…he clearly has athletic ability but does he have the strength and frame to handle playing DE…I think he could go top 10 but I also think he could be had towards the end of the 1st…just depends on how teams view him and it’s so early in the season no one can be sure where he is going to go.

If there wasn't a question in Emery's eyes about Shea putting his hand in the dirt, GUARANTEED there is no question in his eyes that Khalil Mack can play DE. I mean, I watched numerous plays where Buffalo played 3 Down Lineman and Mack was one, they put him at DT in 4 lineman sets. He looks unbelievably strong, 10x that of Shea McClellin and I like the way he's looked in the first 2 games. I don;t think Strength is the question at all, and with that build he has, he plays so sly and nimble it's pretty fun to watch. Like I said, I can't see any chance he's not a top 20 pick At least, more than likely top 10.

Anyone know anything about David Bass? I heard a lot of good things about him in Oakland and know many people were pissed when he was cut. Can anyone give me some info on him?

He was an intriguing prospect coming out of Missouri Western, I have a feeling that if CornWash wasn't available in the 6th we would've taken him there. He has great athleticism, I wouldn't expect much from him this season but if he can develop like our scouting department thinks he can, he'll be an asset in the years to come.

Yeah, it's a pretty big jump from Mizzou Western to the NFL lol...

Could we see anything from Washington this year either? Unfortunately was way busy during TC and stuff so didn't catch much news. What's the plan with him?

Random stat that shows the sorry history of Bears WRs: Brandon now has nine 100 yard receiving games with the Bears. Only 3 WRs had more (Conway, Hill, and Gordon).

Just thought I'd share this. My dad is a huge Bears and Blackhawks fan but he can't remember names at all. He pronounces EVERYTHING wrong. Some of my favorites include: Glanville (Quenneville), McClendon, Wilbur Marshall, Rothinberger and Jefferys. So that makes watching the Bears with my dad the most annoying, entertaining, and hilarious thing ever.

"Freaking McClendon, you can't do crap. wrap Rothinberger up, it isn't that hard!"

Even the announcers say Jefferies. So annoying.

It's great to see him bonding with a head coach again.

He's actually crying to Trestman because Jared Allen poked him in the eye.

Looks like Cleveland is looking to move more players.

Greg Little would be a really nice option in the slot for us. Good scheme fit.

Little is real physical and can make things happen after the catch...problem is his hands are an issue...I think we have bigger needs than given up a pick for a slot.

For a 6th I'd do it. We need depth there too. He's a guy that can help us now and still has upside since he's not a finished product.
