Well it’s been a pretty good start to the season…Bears won…Pack lost
In all seriousness the 49ers showed how you beat the Packers…
1. Win TOP and keep Rodgers off the field
2. Force them to be one dimensional with no running game
3. Don’t commit turnovers to give them short fields |

| Chris Conte had a pick today and almost had a second one as well. Guy seems to find himself around the ball quite a bit. Kind of crazy, I remember being on this board when the Bears drafted him and with the reaction it got, you would have thought the McCaskeys folded the team or something. |

Let's not pretend the Bears Oline was anything less than a massive train wreck at the time though. _________________ Here's to hoping Emery is NOTHING like Angelo. |

There's no question that the line was bad, but the board favorite for the third round was Jake Kirkpatrick, who ended up going undrafted, adding to the ridiculousness that comprised that draft weekend on this forum. |

| Brandon Marshall absolutely is killing it on Sports Sunday. He's doing a great job of explaining plays so even non-football people can understand it. |

I think we have turned the corner and our line will not be a problem this year. Imagine how much a line improves when its qb can audible. |

Matt Forte unhappy losing carries to Michael Bush
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000060389/article/matt-forte-unhappy-losing-carries-to-michael-bush?module=HP11_headline_stack
| Quote: | | Matt Forte pumped out 80 yards off 16 carries Sunday, but the Chicago Bears running back was more concerned about the touches he didn't receive in the team's 41-21 win over the Indianapolis Colts. |
This is why we signed Michael Bush, Matt...
But we passed the ball too much and needed WAY more Forte IMO, he had two great runs and could have had more against a defense minus its best player, especially when its a pass rusher... _________________

If Forte was a better short yardage RB then he wouldn't be giving up those kind of carries to other RBs. _________________

He never actually says he's unhappy in the quotes though, he says:
| Quote: | | It's been happening my whole career here, so I don't know |
| Quote: | | That's Mike Tice's call |
Then he even goes on to praise Bush:
| Quote: | | Mike can do it all, as well. He can catch the ball on third downs, so there are no limitations when I come out of the game. It's not like if I come out on third down, he can't do the same thing |
Think it's more of the media trying to read between the lines. I don't know if it's just the American journalists' style but they do often try to put words in to people's mouths. _________________

In my opinion, one of the reasons why Forte was so much more of a big-play threat last year in comparison to his first three years in the league was because he had a true goal line back to spell him in the red zone for the first time in his career.
Michael Bush will only make Forte better. Forte might not get the glory of scoring every touchdown, but he's going to take less of a beating and will end up making the highlight reel just as often. |
