| I pretty much nailed it w/ my predictions. So happy they didn't neglect Carter again in favor of Strahan. _________________

| Quote: | The most dangerous return man in NFL history has no immediate plans to hang up his cleats, but Devin Hester says he might need a change of scenery.
Hester ended a frustrating 2012 season by telling reporters immediately after coach Bears coach Lovie Smith was fired that he would consider retirement. After a month of reflection with his wife and family, the 30-year-old receiver/return specialist has had a change of heart.
"I'm going to try to get two or three more years in,'' Hester told the Tribune on Saturday. "I think I have that much left in me.
"At the same time, I think I do need a fresh start.'' |
If we can get something for him I would trade him...KC could be a good landing spot all round. |

| Quote: | On the eve of Super Bowl XLVII, Bears cornerback Charles Tillman was presented with the NFL's Salute to Service Award by USAA, the league's official military appreciation sponsor.
Tillman accepted the award, which recognizes those who honor and support members of the military community, at the "2nd Annual NFL Honors" award ceremony and gala Saturday evening in New Orleans.
As part of the award, USAA will contribute $25,000 in Tillman's honor to the aid societies representing all five military branches. |

A 30 year old return specialist who did nothing last year under a Toub run ST unit can't have much trade value, if any. |

Agreed...but I think if we could get any value for him from KC it would be good for us and I think Hester would love to be back with Toub...and more than likely Toub would love to have him. |

I'm gonna go ahead and assume that they will look at the draft for a return specialist or just wait until Hester is cut. The team with the #1 pick isn't trading for a 30 year old returner who's due 1.8 million.
I wouldn't be surprised if Toub has Javier Arenas returning a couple for touchdowns this year if Reid doesn't snag someone in the draft. |

I would expect if we get anything for him that it will be a conditional pick for the 2014 draft. _________________

I bought Trestman's book on kindle a few days ago. I'm not too far into it but the praise he gets from his former players is exciting to say the least. I'm expecting big things out of Cutler as it seems he's the exact opposite of Martz and Tice. In the book, Gannon wrote how he will only use plays that the quarterback is comfortable running, and if the quarterback doesn't like the play he wants to hear about it rather then get upset and stick with his system.
A good read if anyone has the time! |

Only thing that could make that funnier is if the ring arrived postage due. _________________

There's also a lot of stuff that he mentioned in the press conference, like how he wants to practice fast and protect the QB. I just finished the San Francisco chapter and it's obvious that his stint with the 49ers was one of the most influential in his coaching style. _________________

| I wonder when the Bears are going to make Kromer & Tucker available to the media…I would love to hear what they have in store for their side of the ball. |

Who are they missing? I guess I lost track amidst all the minor announcements. _________________
