2 undefeated teams still left in the great state of Texas: Texas Tech and Baylor. If you would've told me that Tech would be 7-0 and ranked 10th in the nation, I probably would've laughed. Now the real test begin though with 3 ranked teams in 4 weeks.

One thing has stayed constant throughout the years at Tech IMO: they win close games. I could be wrong, but God it seems like every game I watch that is decided in the 4th quarter, Tech wins. This goes back years.

Glad Baylor got Briles signed for the long haul, even though we know college contracts mean nothing.

TF713 how's the bball squad looking? Mainly House.

We beat Tx St 2 days ago who's coached by our former coach Kasper, suck it! We play UT at the Irwin center next and I think we have a shot at beating them.

Speaking of UT, why does Barnes still have a job....

Im excited about UH basketball this season. I expected us to blow out our first two opponents however, but this season will be the most talented team we have had in a while. Our top 45 recruit last season Chicken Knowles (yes his first name is Chicken) is finally going to make his debut against UTSA tonight. Can't wait! House has been great the first two games. We also have a Baylor transfer LJ Rose who is playing well. When the team develop some chemistry we are going to be dangerous. If we cant make the tourney this season or next, James Dickey needs to be canned. We have too much talent not to.

I don't know how to feel about this; I like Texas a lot but Baylor is fun to watch, and at the rate things are at the moment, A&M is probably playing the loser of this game in the Cotton Bowl.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. I'm not counting Tech in the win column just yet, better yet Oklahoma State & TCU on the road. I think Baylor matches up with Texas better than the other 3 and the biggest challenge there if we reach them unblemished will be to not get caught up in the BCS BS which we know is built to feed the SEC machine while Baylor will get a date vs. Fresno St. Funny how Baylor loses it's top 2 RBs and #1 WR against OU and still throttles them, yet Georgia and South Carolina's failure to become true title contenders is again blamed on injuries.

Unlike the SEC where you get 3 or 4 non-competitive teams on your docket like Arkansas, Kentucky, Tenn, Miss St. in addition to 4 out of conference patsies (vs. 3 in the Big 12) including this contrived late October non conference bs, nearly every week in the Big 12 presents a significant risk aside from Kansas (Iowa St is a tough out in Ames). It cracks me up how much grief Texas got by losing early to two decent teams in BYU and Ole Miss while SEC "powerhouses" LSU and Georgia are sitting with 3 losses and Florida with 5. When the Big 12 fails to advance its teams thru the conference schedule it is a sign of the conference being "weak" while Vandy and Ole Miss plucking off the "elite" programs is a sign of parity. A&M & Mizzou were perennial middling programs in the Big 12 and their ability to slice thru SEC competition is about what the SEC did for their programs (as if they've been riding true freshman and redshirts this year and last). WVU and TCU come to the Big 12 as perennial conference champs and become bottom tier in Big 12.

Without question, Saban is a great big game coach and Bama is a great big game team, but for goodness sakes they get 3-4 weeks in between their 3 or 4 tough games every season and even those are defined by other highly rated SEC teams like A&M and Auburn who have done nothing but beat up on SEC bottom dwellers and lose to the good ones. I'm not saying the Big 12 isn't without its problems or has any more beef than the Pac 12 or ACC, but it is just maddening how the self-fulfilling prophecy that elevates the top 1 loss SEC team into getting a chance to win one game against similarly overrated Ohio State, Notre Dame, or the absurd LSU/Bama rematch in 2012. I have little confidence in the playoff next year as it's just going to be SEC #1/#2 vs. 2 others. I don't care how you feel about the SEC earning it's rep, the two years I've been hyperfocused on it since A&M left and I see these teams come in and the ease of A&Ms road schedule aside from LSU & Bama, I'm just thoroughly unimpressed. I don't see how there is any argument that it isn't easier to get to 9 or 10 wins in the SEC than it is in the Big 12 and A&M seems the case that proves the rule. Am I missing something?

That's pretty cool to see, I'm happy for yall. The video of Kill dancing was awesome too.

Shout out to Baylor; they made it look too easy against Tech. I hope they win out.
