Not often made proud of A&M football. Today was a pretty exciting win. _________________ Welcome to Houston, DeAndre Hopkins! |

Was able to watch bits and pieces of the game (I was at BJ's for a lot of it and was exclusively focusing on the Texas/WVU game). Ole Miss is horrible (even though Bo Wallace isn't) why was the game so close? _________________

Highly disappointed with how the WVU game turned out. I was patient, but almost halfway through the year and the defense is still a trainwreck. Linebackers looking lost, defensive backs whiffing on tackles leaves me at a complete loss of words as to how they could have regressed so much from last season. D-line is playing well but that is just about it. Offense has been a pleasant surprise with the development of Ash into a quality quarterback and further improvement along the offensive line. Bergeron is useless outside of a short yardage situation. Kicking game is still killing us and the coverage team would rather go for the big hit than wrap up.
Crowd was electric for the second time I've been at Texas. Wish every week could have the same atmosphere. _________________ "You may all go to Hell, and I will go to Texas."

First road game probably had a lot to do with it. The way Manziel plays is probably going to leave him with a few more games like this one. He's great but sometimes tries to do too much. He needs to learn to trust an offensive gameplan and let other players help him win games.
Also the 6 turnovers didn't help us.
As a side note: Our offensive line was unbelievable. There was one play where they gave Manziel a completely clean pocket for about 10 seconds, and that's not an exaggeration. He had 5 yards of space all around him. _________________ Welcome to Houston, DeAndre Hopkins! |

If David Piland can throw a good deep ball he could be an even better QB. He was pretty good on the short throws.
Charles Sims is a freaking beast. Amazing how big and strong he has gotten from HS (Westbury HS) to college.
Defense is improving. I just hate that we gave up the long passes. We need to fix that. Also, I almost throw my hat on the field after that bad play on the defense when the North Texas runner broke like 7 tackles and scored for the TD. Defense needs to wrap up. Run defense was excellent early in the game, but struggled later in the game.
^Oh and it felt good heckling North Texas and their DC, whom we fired in 09. _________________

Ya those sucked, but it was a solid win, can't wait to play LSU, but we can't overlook LT, they are 5-0
On my actual schools front we played one of our rivals Sam in the battle of the piney woods at Reliant. We got down in the 3rd cause of TO's but had a furious comeback in the 4th to come up just short losing 43-51. Oh well atleast we have a real playoff and our shot at making it are still alive.
On a side note, the field at Reliant looks horrible, I hope they have a replacement one ready soon. _________________

It was a huge win. I'm about to watch it on ESPN3. And it comes just before the bye week, which is nice because it allows State to prepare for the second half of the season (which is really, really important because of how inconsistent they've been) and decreases the risk of a letdown game. If State wins at Maryland, they'll likely enter the rivalry game at UNC ranked, which would be pretty sweet. _________________

I'm trying to get tickets for the Baylor game at UT. Looking forward to making it three in a row _________________

I 3rd this. When they showed the score a the UH game today everybody cheered loud.
Glad we are 3-3 on the season, and 2-0 in CUSA play. Tough game next Thursday at SMU who is coming off a loss to Tulane. _________________
