Boy, this secondary could be historically bad, anyone still picking us this week? _________________

My adoptee!!! But seriously, not good news with Jackson out. Although Doughty is a sure tackler though,Brees will get his completions, maybe having a sure tackler prevents as many tds as Meriweather would give up due to bad angles. Just the optimist in me. _________________

I would Honestly play Griffin at safety this game, this would be the worst game possible for Reed Doughty to start. _________________ College Football-Miami

Well Madieu Williams will probably get the FS spot now, with Reed Doughty or Dejon Gomes at SS. Or Doughty could take the FS spot, but Williams didn't look bad in preseason so I hope he gets FS. I hope they have enough confidence in Gomes to start him, as he has taken snaps at both positions.
Gomes was a ballhawk in college, played mostly SS but did play some FS too. It is time to put him out there and see how he does as a starter IMO.
Either way we just lost our most talented physical presence back there-- as if we weren't already worried about Brees enough. _________________

The funny thing is the spread for this game dropped from 9.5 to 7 wonder if it will go back up after this.
Our secondary makes our offensive line look dominant. |

no doughty. If they put him out there against Brees we might as well put the nail in the coffin ourselves. Drew over 350 yards _________________

| Meriweather -- another case of pushing a hurt player to practice and play before he was ready .. That's the NFL .. not just us. |

Meh, not a huge drop off in talent with Gomes. Meriweather would've been my choice to start, but I'm not losing sleep over it. _________________
