Survivor is where each week you pick the team you are most confident that will win. So for instance, I took Chicago because I feel the most confident out of all the games that Chicago will beat Indy.
Next week I can pick any team besides Chicago. The goal is to see who can pick the most weeks correctly in a row. Usually it goes around 10-12 weeks because at that point you are running out of teams.
If I pick the Patriots in week 2, then in week 3 I can pick anyone but Chicago (week 1) and the Pats (week 2.)

Survivor Pick 'Em works as any other Pick 'Em where a tally is kept of how many wins you picked correctly. The survivor aspect involves picking one team each week that you believe will win - if the team you pick as your survivor team loses, you are out of the league. The caveat is that you are only allowed to pick a team once as your survivor throughout the season, and you must keep a list of the teams you have picked in previous weeks so others know you have chosen a different team each week.
Most are picking Chicago, as they believe they are a lock to win against Indianapolis, however Chicago may not be a lock to win against other teams. So Chicago would be a logical pick for Week 1. Teams like New England or Green Bay, who can be locks to win most weeks, should generally be saved as your survivor picks so that you can use them later in the season.
The poster that either survives the longest, or has the greatest win tally by the end of the regular season wins. |
