No surprises at QB or RB.
Sanzenbacher figures to be a weekly inactive unless somebody gets nicked.
I'm still not a fan of any of the Bears tight ends. I would have rather had Clutts make the roster over Kyle Adams.
No surprises for most of the line. Chil Rachal is kind of unexpected, but he fits Tice's style, the interior line had some trouble run blocking vs. the Giants, and James Brown is still very raw. Rachal probably will be the default gameday inactive.
Ozougwu is an interesting add.
Cornerback is really odd position this year. They heaped on bodies at CB in the offseason, and yet they're keeping only five, one who hasn't even played with the team. This worries me, but it also says they trust Kelvin Hayden quite a bit.
Safety has a few surprises. Wasn't too sure how that one was going to shake out.
Some of you guys were correct; it's a good bet that Quigley is gone once Podlesh returns, but I think he'll be at the top of Emery's emergency call list. |

I'm surprised about 4 DTs... Although it might just mean we see alot of different alignments, given that Peppers and Idonije have been utilized and effective inside.
I too am caught off guard by the 5 corners. I was expecting them to keep 5 corners NOT counting DJ. Definitely didn't see both draft picks cut and Wilhite in favor of a special teamer. _________________ Adopt a Bear 2012:

I think Quigley should keep his bags packed. Probably a few of the bottom-of-the-roster DL too, as Collins (who is on the suspended list for week 1 but not cut) may be added shortly. _________________

| Quote: | Free agent OT Jonathan Scott visited the Bears.
Scott signed with the Lions in July, but was released with an injury settlement. He appeared in 12 games for the Steelers last season, starting five. He wouldn't be in line to start over J'Marcus Webb or Chris Williams in Chicago, but could see consistent reps if he's signed. |

| I actually prefer that we would keep Ozougwu over Wooton. Cheta looked better in preseason, and I think that he would actually do really well as a situational pass rusher. I think if he can develop a bit more over time, he could end up being a really solid backup for us for several years. |

I can't see Cheta and playing on defense. Wootton still has starters potential. |

| After cutting McCown, will not surprise me to see him elevated to the roster at some point this season. _________________

If another team tries to sign Blanchard, they will have to move him to the 53 in order to keep him. So, there's that, on top of if Campbell or Cutler get injured. |

2 RBs & 2 OTs...only 2 defensive players...bit of a strange breakdown. |

I don't know why the Bears are still wasting their time with Harvey Unga. That guy is useless. |

Briggs speculates that they want to keep a FB on the roster in some manor…but as you said Unga has shown nothing in his time here to suggest he could play FB if we elevated him to the active roster…I’m very surprised there isn’t a single LB on the PS…we have to start planning ahead at the position as well as the rest of the D. |
