This is a good test to see where we are on offense. The panthers aren't very strong defensively. They have a strong lb unit but that's it. We need to take advantage in the air bc the panthers secondary is weakest link. Establishing the run early will allow us to do that.

Its Josh Freeman's time to shine.

This first game will show what our defense can or can't do. Carolina can run and pass very well. Let's see what kind of impact our rookies have.

On offense, I want to see Free. He's the difference between a top five pick and a .500 record. He's got legitimate weapons now (V-Jax, Williams, Clark, Martin). Does he make it work?

Those are the two biggest things for me week one.

But I hope I'm wrong. In reality we should come out with a chip on our shoulder, the Panthers are a team that has just slapped us around harder then any team in the NFL has for years(I dont know a Buc fan who does not remember that 2008 MNF game...) despite my prediction I hope we come out and just kick them in the mouth and put Cam on his back a couple of times. But will that happen? Have to wait till Sunday to see..

I can't see us stopping Cam and their run game at all, so I expect a loss. I just hope Freeman looks good, no more excuses.

Gonna be a tough first 3 weeks but im confident we can come out with one or two wins....

Looking at the majority of these predictions is really sickening. While we might not win I do believe that it will be a close game. We are not the team we were last year and like someone already said, I think that with Schiano, the days of being blown out are over. I think our D will be much improved, middle of the pack when it comes to league rankings, and if what we did to the Patriots is any indication of what this season will be like we actually might be considered good on D.

I dont think Cam and the Panthers will go crazy on us on offense. I think Clayborn, McCoy, Bennett, David, Barron, Barber, and Talib will step up. The Panthers D is very suspect imo. If we can get a solid run game going I think the "taking shots" part of our offense will work perfectly. Their DBs are their biggest weakness and their DL is average. We just need to account for their LBs, which will probably be one of the better units in the league this year.
