He probably could, albeit not as well as some other options, but I doubt he signs on to a team to be their nickel. He's proven to be a viable perimeter corner.

Williams could be pretty successful in the slot, but I do think he'll want to start, and rightfully so. We may have to start really looking at building CB through the draft with how much money Sherman is going to get next year.

Check about 3 minutes into the video
http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-am/0ap2000000149909/Richard-Sherman-talks-Percy-Harvin

Does that sound like to you that Sherman is hinting that he'd be willing to take a "home town" discount and he almost expects that they all will?

It sounds like he will at least. He shows how much the 4 DB'S together means to him. I'd be estatic if they all stayed for cheaper as would everyone else.

I think that he did imply it. He knows just how important team chemistry is and what is being created in Seattle.

Are we still looking at a pass rusher in FA? Dwight Freeney would be a great pick up if we can afford him.

I guarantee that John and Pete are on the lookout. They will probably make a move once the initial rush settles down.

I'll be happy with either Abraham or Freeney. What I really want is a rush from up the middle. Good thing this defensive line class is very deep because we will be able to hopefully fill that need with our 2nd or 3rd round pick. Or both. It's really nice having no more than one glaring need for once. We can stockpile the same position and see what happens

Are you confident Harrison could start at LEO? I don't think it's a good fit for him

What do you guys think of Jamie Collins out of SMU for our SLB or WLB spot? Looks like he can rush the passer a little bit and is extremely athletic. Seems like a unique Pete pick to me.
