No... And he wouldnt bring in someone as established as Crennel to run HIS D. Pete loves his D and wants someone who is a yes sir no sir type of DC not someone who can run it by themselves. |
Pete is going to control the whole team no matter what because he's like that. But if he were to only pick one side of the ball to really focus his attention on it and give the other side up to someone he trusts, which would you prefer?
I would say he needs to focus on D and fixing third down and linebacker play. Bevell is annoying but if we get a new OC i think that will set Wilson back and we'd be two more years of sad offense. _________________ Kam Chancellor-2012/2013 Season - 100 tackles - 1 FF - 2 FR - 0 INT

I agree he helped Nick Holt get a big pay day from UW and we know how that turned out. _________________

What are we expecting from him at this point?
Challenging Trufant for his job? A 1a/1b situation as nickel CB? |

Yea, likely battling Tru. Love Tru, but we need the Nickel of the future. _________________

I will always respect Tru for his role in this organizations rise, but dude can't cover a statue these days, I hope Thurmond come back ready to rumble.
Also, I know we had to make room for Walt somewhere, but cutting a WR when we're already fairly thin at that spot? If Baldwin re-injures his ankle (and it can't be fully healed already) that leaves us with Kearse as a 3rd WR and it appeared to me that he got benched after dropping that early slant route vs. Minne. Obviously, I'm not thinking Martin is some great WR, but I would trust him more than Kearse at this point and I would rather have kept an extra WR just as an insurance policy for at least another week. _________________ “They were threatened by my intelligence and too stupid to know that’s why they hated me.”

I agree, Truf has been a brilliant man for the organisation but he is on his last legs. He would be a great #4 at this point. And we needed to activate Walter Thurmond as due to the (new?) PUP rules
We must be getting one of our other receivers back, or we are going to run more TE sets against the Jets. _________________

He is on his last legs, and given how WTIII has played in the past, he should take the nickel spot comfortably if he is healthy. _________________

Maybe not, but you had to think about it, so we must be on to something
I forgot about Braylon Edwards, too, so if he's ready to go then it makes more sense that Martin was sent to the practice squad. No one was going to claim him off waivers. _________________ “They were threatened by my intelligence and too stupid to know that’s why they hated me.”

Not at all lol he made a huge play last week that changed the game. He and Leroy are also the only Wiley veterans we have on defense and that count for something in my book. Tru has been making solid veteran plays for two straight weeks. |
