The obvious answer is yes but I'm a little cautious here. Why would a LT needy team like Baltimore just cut the guy the Tuesday before week 1? There's something up. _________________

The Ravens are attempting to restructure tackle Bryant McKinnie's contract, per a league source, situation could lead to his release.
Everything I am hearing is that they are or have tried to restruture his deal but have been unable to do so at this time. _________________

Ian Rapoport@RapSheet
McKinnie is willing to restructure from his $3.2M base. Not as much as the #Ravens want. Can you imagine waiving starting LT before opener??

If the issue is money then yes, let's get him signed should Baltimore release him.
We'd still see Batiste at LT this week though, even if we did sign him. 3-4 days to get acclimated, that's not enough. _________________

Bryant McKinnie in a text to me when asked if he's off the team: "Yes."
THERE IT IS!
Now if he's put on waivers, then were in trouble. _________________

Yes but even if it took 3-4 weeks it would be worth it. _________________

Shouldn't be on waivers, he should be a vested veteran. _________________

Bryant McKinnie in a text to me said he's sorry it didn't work out, adds: "I'll be fine."
Its over between he and Baltimore.
Andrew Brandt@adbrandt
Ravens' Bryant McKinnie sounds like a vested veteran about to be shed. If on roster Saturday his entire $3.2M salary guaranteed.

If a team comes to a player with pay cut, they have to be prepared to release him if players says no. Sounds like Ravens moving on.

Just texted to ask McKinnie if this is final, and he responded, "Yes. They will announce it soon." ...
