Where would Tuck play on this team? |
Could he not play LDE? |
As SoS said, not in our scheme. If you want a more athletic LE, we need a 3-4DE who can rush the passer. |
Who would you guys prefer? I'm in talks including Freeney,Mathis, Erik Waldrn, Robinson... _________________

We run a 4-3 under. So it looks like this:
3-4 LDE - NT - UT - LEO (4-3 DE)
WLB - MLB - SLB
CB - SS - FS - CB
That is why Red Bryant is our LDE. Did you think we were putting a 330 lb man at DE just for giggles?
If you're getting a replacement for Red it needs to be someone like Calais Campbell or Henry Melton. _________________

Ahhh okay. So pretty much you have 3 DT's and them Bruce can just rush the passer. So Freeney Mathis etc would be awful. Well shoot. _________________

Thinking about trying to make a deal for Bryan Bulaga. Who in this draft could replace Red Bryant. _________________

I think Tuck would be fine as a DE for us. He's just old now _________________

Certainly not LDE and he's not starting over Clemons. _________________

Margus Hunt and Datone Jones would be ideal fits. _________________

Chris Jones of Bowling Green is by far my first choice. He's a beast!. Kawann Short of Purdue, Sheldon Richardson of Missouri, Sylvester Williams of North Carolina or Joe Vellano of Maryland would all be good fits. |

Certainly not LDE and he's not starting over Clemons. | Prime Tuck would have been fine as a LDE for us. We'd have to adapt the scheme a little, but not that much. _________________

I strongly doubt that's something Pete would ever do. _________________

I strongly doubt that's something Pete would ever do. | If Pete Carroll would not trade Red Bryant and a 3rd for a prime Justin Tuck just because it doesn't perfectly fit his scheme, I want him fired. _________________
