I agree about the first 3 picks. If we can get a great #2 TE, we can let Wilson work his way into the team. I'm happy with Sidney and Golden out wide when we run the 2TE formation. _________________

Michael Williams is a very solid blocker and a physical pass catcher. He's Anthony Mccoy with more size and more consistent hands. He could fill the role zach miller is currently in perfectly, so we could have Zach in better position to catch passes. Even if we do widdle down his contract, he needs to be more active in the pass game...period. Drafting someone that can do what he does might be a better solution than trying to draft a receiving TE, as zach has proven to be effective in that area on this level.
I like Devin Taylor. He is the exact type of player with the potential we have shown we can maximize. We can find good use for his attributes and make a situational rusher out of him _________________

I haven't followed him at all, but I would say that less than desirable size and the fact that his opposite WR is a much better prospect.
I also believe that Woods is not the kind of WR that we need. If we are going to draft somebody, they need the physical upside to be a #1. _________________

Agreed. Any other WR would be a waste of a pick. If any of those guys could play like Braylon Edwardsdid for the Jets (minus the dropsies), we would be set up to go well. _________________

He lacks the athletic and dynamic potential to be a top 10 pick. He's similar to Michael Crabtree in that sense. Really talented, physical kid but he's not really going to outrun anyone. I'd rather have a big guy or a speedster. _________________

I'm doing a gm mock. What's the value if Sidney Rice as far as draft picks go? _________________

Not great size, not as athletically gifted as a lot of other guys and the fact that this draft class could be loaded with great WR's. |

Like if we were to trade him? Doubt we'd get anything more than a 4th. _________________

With teams like Buffalo, St. Louis, Miami and Minnesota picking ahead of us, I just have a hard time seeing Keenan Allen or Justin Hunter being available. Ideally for me, I wanna see Clemson WR DeAndre Hopkins declare and be on the board when we pick. I love that guy! |

Probably a 4th or 5th rounder. |

That's a lot lower than I expected. I'm being offered a 2nd and 5th for rice and a 4th. _________________

That is really good value. If you are planning on taking a WR early, it would be worth pulling the gun on that.
You also lose his contract, which would open up a FA signing. _________________

- huge contract
- injury history
- has yet to truly light it up
All reasons why his price tag wouldn't be that high. He's definitely talented enough to warrant the price you have listed, but in the real world he wouldn't command that with all of the other factors involved. _________________
