Hopefully this is not the peak of his career with the Vikings. _________________ Equal Opportunity Hater

Finally he gets the recognition over Akers. I thought his kick was much better _________________

Well deserved.
Its nice that our team gets recognition for their play. Atleast he wasn't robbed of an award like Allen was last year. _________________

As much as I loved watching Walsh boot those FG's, I was equally impressed by the distance and hang-time of his KO's. _________________ "No one can disguise mediocrity better than Bill Belichick." |

Kluwe got some great hang time too.
and the coverage teams got fairly quick tackles. JAX didn't have any long returns, did they?
Priefer doing work.

The special teams play was very good. Not any long returns that I can think of. Perhaps I am being a bit of an optimist here, but I would like to see us get to at least 9-7 this season. _________________ "No one can disguise mediocrity better than Bill Belichick." |

Our special teams has definitely been pretty good for a while now. I feel like after Bush (?) burned us badly. _________________ XBL/PSN: Chainedsniper |

On the Vikings Pick 6 series on Vikings.com this week, someone wrote in asking why Walsh only got three touchbacks on Sunday. Averaged over a season, that would give him 48. That would've been the 4th most last year. Oh by the way, the NFL record before last year was 40, which was set by the Snicker Kicker in 1998 and tied by Billy Cundiff in 2010.
Last year, Ryan Longwell had just 19 touchbacks. _________________

Congrats to Walsh.
His first game in the NFL, and he already answered my biggest concern about him. _________________
