Versatility lost here is big. He could cover four spots on the OL, and he was the #1 backup at both RT and LT. Now we are left with Nate Potter as our #2 LT and no #2 RT. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Losing the guy who is your team's #1 backup at 4 positions absolutely is a big loss. _________________

Will there really be that big of a difference. Bridges is a horrible player no matter of versatile he is. If he had to be on the field then there a huge problem anyways. _________________

Yes, there is very much a big difference between Brides, our current backups and the current FA options available. It very much is tangible. _________________

Put it this way. We now have four players on this roster who have started an NFL game, one of those guys last started in 2007. The only players on this roster with 16 games appeared in a single season are Snyder, Sendlein and Colledge.
OUr LT and RT have a combined 21 appearences and 4 starts. Our backups at G/C and T have a combined 5 NFL appearences and none of those since 2010.
Our primary backup tackle is an undrafted rookie. Our primary backup at guard is a guy who has played 5 NFL games over three seasons, he is also the primary cover at C. The other OL player on the roster is a 5th round rookie making a positional switch. We have 8 OL players on the roster, three of which are rookies.
Bridges was a big part of this team, he takes with him 110 NFL games and 55 starts worth of experience. _________________ Patrick Peterson - 92 targets, 40 catches allowed, 602 yards, 6 TD's, 7 INT's

Ughhhhh, I would have imagined if either Basitste or Massie wasn't working out he would have steeped in.
If they don't sign another lineman then Snyder is the back up RT. Orhenberger back up RG/C. Hopefully someone is signed. _________________ Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition.

Mario Henderson
Chad Clifton
Trai Essex
Kareem McKenzie
We need somebody with experience. It hurts that these are guys I have to suggest. |

Maybe Grimm is planning a comeback?
maybe the team has a plan.
At this stage I have no idea what it is, wish they would tip their hat as to what they are thinking.... |

I don't think any of these guys can play guard. That's why this is killer, Bridges was (As Somers pointed out, not myself) our top backup at both guard spots too. If you sign of these guys you have to rely on Kelemete, who Khodder pointed out as rarely played this preseason, as a starting guard should Colledge or Snyder go down.
This is really not good for us. _________________

The Cardinals just signed OT Pat McQuistan who was recently cut by the Cowboys. He has plenty of experience in the league and played in ten games last year.
Well he is our new swing tackle. He might take over the left tackle spot within a few weeks if he catches up quickly. _________________
