Thought the Bengals were ready to compete with Baltimore and Pittsburgh... I was wrong.
Defense is a disaster. Just a complete and utter disaster. My expectations have definitely been lowered after tonight. |

What happened? Just got back from a night out didn't realise the BBC would be showing it online 34-13 not a good score line. _________________

Defense decided to stay in Cincinnati, and now the wheels are coming off the offense.
Embarrassing. |

Sometimes I'm glad I don't have cable and the gym only watches my kid until 8. That first 20 minutes had the makings of a disaster. Two things really bothered me, our corners are crap and Flacco looks like he's in control of that offense. neither bodes well. I'm also trying to figure out how AJ Green's pass was incomplete and Boldin's TD wasn't. They both look like receptions to me. Not that it matters, outclassed is outclassed. _________________

I'm not ready to bury this D, they let their eyes get too wide on a natl stage against a big time crowd. Three dropped int's and never played with any momentum |

The defense may be a middle of the road defense unless Dunlap magically fixes everything (i doubt).
The secondary is just bad. _________________

However, until the defense just completely let this game get out of hand, i thought Dalton and the offense looked good. Especially against the Ravens D. They may be better than i thought.
Next week is the Browns. Remember 2009. Embarrassing loss to the Broncos. Go on to the playoffs. You just never know. _________________

Time to move Clements to FS and trade for a CB.
Mays is a liability. Move him to LB in nickel downs _________________

We'll be fine. Surprised by the following though:
- Devon Still got owned. Looked like a lost rookie.
- Personnel decisions was terribad (although I shouldn't be too surprised). Tate should not be returning kicks and Marvin Jones/Sanu should be starting over Binns.
- The rested Geno way too much. Although with the no huddle, maybe I can see why. He might have needed the rest.
- The ball skills of our defense was horrible. Should have had at least 2 INT's.
Have faith we'll fix most of those issues though. Seriously, I think we'll win the re-match. Calling it now... _________________

Thought your offense looked really solid. Up until Ed Reed did an Ed Reed thing and took it to the house, this really felt like it could have gone either way. The main problem was that in the 1st half + the first drive of the 2nd half we had to respect the Law Firm and he was doing good work running the ball. If the defense had stopped Flacco from marching down the field on our 1st drive in the 2nd half and the Bengals don't all of a sudden having to play catch-up ball with the clock a factor, it could have been a really different game. But once Pees was able to dial in and get to Dalton, it was over.
Good game folks. See ya in Week 17, when this game will feel like it happened in a different season, regardless of what direction either of our teams go in over the next 4 months. _________________ "The really important kind of freedom involves attention, and awareness, and discipline, and effort, and being able truly to care about other people and to sacrifice for them, over and over, in myriad petty little unsexy ways, every day.” |
