Cooley was released, he is a veteran receiving threat and I have little to know knowledge how he fairs in blocking except that the redskins used to be pretty run heavy. If he can catch balls through drywall im sure he's at least worth picking up a flyer on Thoughts?! _________________

See now this would be a very smart move. He can still be productive, we are short on TEs and on weapons in general. This could really be someone that can help sanchez a lot. _________________

I approve this message
The way Keller dropped , I think the hamstring is going to bother him similar to Andre Johnson's did last season. So Cooley would be a great pick up just incase. But if Keller is healthy, a 2 TE set in the redzone with Cooley Keller sounds great. _________________

Would take him in a heartbeat. Tanny should have him on a plane to NY as I am writing this post. _________________ I love to hate the Red Sux

| Unfortunately Manish Mehta has said the Jets are not likely to be interested. Unfortunate because I echo the sentiments that he could be a very nice addition on offense. |

He wants to be a starter somewhere. That's not happening here. _________________

If we came here he could be the H-Back and we can cut Connor whose become a waste of a roster spot. I think we all were fooled by how well Rex can sell a player. The dude hits like a mac truck but whiffs more often then not. Time to move on and realize rex was retarded to draft a guy in the 4th round at a position that is being phased out of the NFL.
Cooley could easily find reps on 2 of every 3 downs in this offense. Thats better then he'd get on most teams and he'd be our #2 target behind Keller. This would help so much its not even funny so I fully expect us to ignore this lol. _________________

| He for all intents and purposes could be a starter... Cooley could be a huge part of what we do on offense. There's a lot of playing time for a tight end/h-back with his skill set in Sparano's offense where the Jets are going to be looking to run the ball, keep things simple and work off play action. If Cooley came here, I think he'd certainly see more time on the field than say Schilens or Kerley or whoever will be our #3 receiver. |

100% agree. Cooley can catch and as far as I know block. Sparano's teams run a lot of max protect and 2 TE sets. Cooley would be a dangerous weapon on this team and absolutely get a starters level of snaps. WHY we aren't looking into this is beyond me. Fits our needs and gives our offense some versatility... _________________
