I think he had good coverage on Shorts (from the replay), he just got turned around at the end, with Gabbert putting it in an excellent spot. I don't think there are many CBs that could have done a significantly better job. _________________

QBs are taught in that situation to throw it at the front pylon and that is what Gabbert did. Cook was put in an awkward situation there and sort of lost track of where the ball was going. However, if there was any semblance of an interior pass rush on that play, Gabbert wouldnt have had the time in the pocket to deliver a perfect pass.
